I have swimming facility. Water is not clean I have got fungal infection after started swimming here, it happened to lot my friends as well, gues not water is not treated properly. Stopped going there now. Sauna facility is good.
I live near a different Edinburgh Leisure and specifically come here for Barry’s body pump class. I’m not big into workout classes and since a friend brought me along, I’ve been going every week. Barry’s brilliant, makes the exercises accessible, good fun and never pressures you to do more if you’re not feeling it that day. I upgraded my membership to go to his class every week, the gym is lucky to have him.
Leith pool discriminates on the basis of sex on Saturday late afternoon only women can enter. There is no equivalent male only session. The council is breaking equalities legislation.nnThe information on the website is also inaccurate. The website says the female only swim time is between 3pm to 4pm on Saturdays but when I came after 4pm on a Saturday I was still denied entry.
The price for two people swim & sauna is £20!!! Edinburgh council is a lunatic!nThe pool is small and cold like the Arctic ocean!nSmall car park and only 3 private changing rooms in the ladies zone. Highly not recommended! Outside of Edinburgh is much cheaper and you have access to more facilities like a steam room and a jacuzzi.
Good only for pensioners and people with disabilities. Many restrictions for children who want to develop their skills - no fins or diving toys, no sauna. Disappointed.
