Was here for an event then a late lunch. Their function room can perhaps comfortably house 30 people at most. It can get a bit stuffy, even in the winter months.nnOn a Sunday, their kitchen may close at either 3 or 4 pm, check with bar staff. Also you probably want to reserve a table as the local demand varies.nnOn the day friends and I decided to stay for a late lunch, staff were accommodating even though our numbers changed a couple times. It wasn’t busy though, mind.nnI went for their veggie breakfast with scrambled eggs. Even though it took a while to arrive, it arrived hot and nicely cooked. I particularly enjoyed their veggie haggis. Will be back to try other things on the menu.nnFriendly service.
Place:nSmall space and tight quarters but a nice spot overall.nnService:nSuper friendly staff, very accommodating - our whole crew commented on it afterwards just how sweet the servers were here.nnFood:nExcellent - the halloumi and avocado salad was perfect. I had the Korean filthy chips, likely wouldn't order that again as they were more of a wedge / bigger potato pieces. Not bad just not what we anticipated.nnPrices:nWell priced, especially for the quantity and quality.nnConclusion:nNice restaurant that I would absolutely come back to.

Would I call this a gastro pub? Based on the cheese burger definitely not.nI've passed this place many times but popped in with my partner for dinner for the first time this week. Lovely vibes and friendly welcome. Staff attentive and polite, great drinks selection. Food menu is good too, what you would expect from a pub.nMy burger was a real let down however, mainly due to the small and cheap but significant element: the bun. Dry, flakey, low quality... Please buy better ones... The fries were also quite mediocre. My partner's chicken burger was tasty and juicy, and he got cheese sauce as an extra, which they didn't charge for, so that was very kind!
The food here exceeds any expectations of pub food. The Syrian aubergine dish is out of this world, and it goes very well with the halloumi avocado pomegranate salad. Super wholesome, filling, delicious and beautifully colourful. Lovely meal and also lovely staff who are friendly and chatty.
