We were awaiting the arrival of bus 608 at Leigh bus station on Sunday afternoon, despite the fact that the bus was not in service and did not permit passenger boarding as it passed without stopping. Our wait extended for an hour before we sought assistance at the information center. The individual we encountered there failed to provide useful guidance, merely stating that our issue stemmed from missing the bus. His demeanor was perceived as impolite and unhelpful, a standard of service that falls short of expectations for a major public service entity.
Leigh bus station is a great place to be at. 2 things take me there, while I'm on way to school and on my way back from school.nnIf you're at Leigh bus station, I assume you want to board a bus to your destination. There are quite a handful of buses heading to various destination which is amazing. On the other hand, most buses delay and isn't usually updated on their site. Talk about journey update, they don't have screens that shows information such as journey expectations with regard to time. I sincerely try my best not to get pissed off because in my head it's not like I expect them not to disappoint in a day.
Absolutely fuming me and my friend were are 13 years old got on the number 9 higher fold to Wigan bus at Leigh bus station today at 5:50pm to get off at the bottom of butts bridge this bus driver then completely drove past mine and my friends stop bare in mind we had to be in for 6:00pm for my friend to get picked up at 6:30 pm this man at the end of higher folds stopped the bus at coronation drive bus stop on Queensway came up the stairs and there was 2 girls at the front going to platt bridge, and he told all of us 4 girls we needed to pay him an extra £2 to get out of higherfold and my friend paid for the both of us we said to him “we haven’t got the money and we need to get home our phones are dead” the man said back to us “well are you going to pay or not” and again we repeated “we haven’t got the money to pay our phones are dead we need to go home” the man then continued to argue with us over this extra £2 that me and my friend don’t have I said to him in a nice manner “I’m not kicking off with you but why are you not charging any of the people down stairs an extra £2 to get outside of higher fold and he ignored me so I kept quiet the girls at the front asked if we was going to platt bridge we told them no he drove past our stop they said it’s messed up and I said I know, this man completely stopped the bus and turned off all the lights with both doors open waiting to see if we got off, at this point it was past 6:00pm and I was fuming at the fact he tried charging me more money so me and my friend got off the bus and asked for his name he completely blanked us and drove off whilst the other 2 girls wer sat at the top of the bus absolutely fumin.
When the buses are on time, it is fantastic. Actually either way, at least it keeps you dry when its raining I guess. Other then that, the only plus is the bus you want is almost guaranteed to go through here.... Yes, almost.
Leigh bus station is a great place to get any bus from. However i have notice there are quite a few high school kids in big groups who mess around and are really noisy. They don't even get the bus they just sit there and cause disturbances.
