When the buses are on time, it is fantastic. Actually either way, at least it keeps you dry when its raining I guess. Other then that, the only plus is the bus you want is almost guaranteed to go through here.... Yes, almost.
Great little bus station with some nice shops around
Wot more can I say it's a bus station.
For 2 days in a row now my bus hasn't come i usually take the 597 i understand that it has to go to 2 places but they could at least update the page since the arrival time is always wrong
Buses don't go to the correct stop. Ended up getting a number 8 to WIGAN! From a stand that bus doesn't go to! Not surprised tho, there all inbred round here probably don't even know how to read.
Amazing it was full of buses
I was at the bus station in Leigh enquiring about a monthly bus pass and a wallet which was left behind on a diamond bus , This is the poorest customer service by a man with black hair and glasses at the desk , I have ever received . He was so unhelpful and rude to me ,if he does not enjoy the service industry he really should not work with people especially when he is the point of service for enquiries and purchases. Poor reflection on the company
Rubbish service buses are often late or don’t turn up.
Leigh bus station is a great place to get any bus from. However i have notice there are quite a few high school kids in big groups who mess around and are really noisy. They don't even get the bus they just sit there and cause disturbances.
A huge range of bus services run from Leigh Bus Station. You will find services to Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and hourly buses to the famous Trafford Centre Shopping Complex. There are also local services run by Jim Stones and Diamond Buses. The Leigh-Manchester Guided Bus Services have a dedicated stand here as well. Buses to Wigan, Bolton and Manchester run 7 days a week from just after 5am till just before 11pm. The bus station is of the old design of parallel bays, and is therefore not very comfortable. This is the only reason why I have given the station a 3 star rating. When it's cold or windy, you feel the full force of the weather elements as there are no doors on any of the bays like you would find in other mordernised bus stations such as Wigan and Bolton. There are also not enough seats for waiting passengers and there is no waiting room either. There is a Travelshop Office and a Station Office inside the bus station. The staff are quite happy and helpful, especially in the Travelshop. The bus station is fully wheelchair accessible and there is a dedicated Ring & Ride bay directly outside the station office. There are paid toilets available from early morning till 9.30pm. There are also disabled toilets and a baby changing area available. The key for these is available from the station office. For those that cycle, there is a TfGM Cycle Hub adjacent to the bus station where you can leave your secure shelter. Leigh Bus Station is adjacent to the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre. You literally walk out of the bus station and into the Shopping Centre. The station is also situated less than 3 minutes walk from Tesco Extra Superstore, Aldi, Lidl and a small ASDA supermarket. The big ASDA superstore is about a mile away from the station, and you can get a bus from inside the station that will drop you off outside the ASDA superstore, where you will also find the other usual high street shops. There are a few other shops dotted near the bus station including a McDonald's just half a minute walk away . Banks and ATMs are all less than a minute away from the station. And the Leigh Police station is just a quarter mile away. Overall, Leigh Bus Station is a good station, conveniently located, but is in dire need of modernisation.
