I am a Muslim student who wanted to help my European friend convert after he has shown interest in the religion. We called the Islamic centre for an appointment with the imam. My friend never got to meet the imam before travelling despite him mentioning the date of travel to the secretary. Not only did the secretary refused to suggest an appropriste time for a meeting but he was also very very very rude and told us there is nothing I can help you with before hanging up on us. We tried calling several times from several numbers and it was either no answer or being hung up on! If these are the representatives of your mosque then no wonder people have the wrong impression of Islam! I am ashamed, appalled and disgusted of the behavior of that particular person who is responsible for answering people’s queries and concerns.

Beautiful place to engage in the worship of Allah, Most High. Can honestly feel strong spirituality - always been a beautiful experience whenever I have visited and prayed here. Make sure to attend the annual youth conference insh’Allah Remember me in your Du’as, dear brothers and sisters ❤️

One of the city's largest iconic and purpose built mosques. Also known as Leicester Central Mosque, ideally situated behind the railway station in Conduit St., with a large car park. Origins lie in a strong grass roots requirement for a community centre, for the historic Sutherland St. Mosque congregation, established 1968, by the Pakistan Association. A mainstream Sunni Muslim institution that fiercely remains moderate with theological independence devoid of foreign influence. Has a decades old track record of promoting interfaith work and harmony, thanks to the vision of the Head Imam and Management Committee. Pioneering outreach work towards the local community at large, encouraging visits by civic leaders, health and social workers, politicians, and those who are simply curious. Bus loads of school children regularly visit, even from neighbouring counties. Has a main prayer hall accommodating 1500 used for Juma'a prayer and important festivals. Regular five times daily prayers held in the ancillary hall with dedicated facilities for ladies. Disabled friendly with ramps and a lift. Separate large sports hall that can be booked for weddings, etc. Additional large rooms available for smaller events. Modern catering facilities on site. Another building accommodates Imam's residence and mortuary. Most of all, a haven of tranquility.

Morden, progressive and facilities for ladies to pray. Excellent facilities and carparking. Students from local schools visit the mosque for their studies.
