Oh dear! There needs to be a 0 star button here Google. Similar to others here, I am concerned that ArcLegal Group gets essential to the case basics wrong OR ignores/overlooks your evidence at the preliminary stage. Is this an indicator of how their solicitors operate too? Very concerning. I have had to remind ArcLegal representatives, repeatedly, that the surveyor is NOT a solicitor! They have referred to a neighbour's surveyor '' ' , '' again and again as the solicitor instead of the surveyor. Does this mean anyone with a letterhead and logo is a solicitor to ArcLegal? If no, then it means they are not paying attention to my evidence because why else do they keep referring and confusing a surveyor's status with a solicitor's?⁣ There's no mention of the word solicitor on the surveyor's documents! So why the confusion ArcLegal? ⁣ Very, very, very, very alarming that this status error and more are occuring so early in the case . Also the insistence in corresponding via email when there's a secure ArcLegal Group portal to upload confidential documents, is also concerning. Should the neighbour carry out his legal threat of getting a solicitor as stated in the 'surveyor's' letters, : " "?!?!?! ⁣ ⁣ If there's a lackadaisical tone/attititude/actions that is showing up now, preliminary gathering evidence stage, isn't that a forewarning of what's to come? A waste of money because lost my case before ink even drys on submission legal papers?⁣ ⁣ How? ⁣Just how did Nationwide home insurance choose Arclegal as partners? ⁣ ⁣ How?⁣ Oh boy! Reading the reviews and my initial experience so far, just what have I ticked a box and paid extra 'legal cover' for? Trouble? Headache? Loss of funds? !!!!!!!! EDIT: Also, looking back at the emails received so far, I note they say: "Here at Arc Legal we are insurance personnel and not legally trained. We therefore cannot respond to your legal queries ourselves" Well that explains that then innit! Is this admission the reason for so many errors at my preliminary stage? Saying that, from reviews across the web, the solicitor stage is no better. I've now decided, should bullying neighbour send solicitor letter, I won't be using ArcLegal to defend me and the last day for my house insurance with Nationwide can't come quick enough!!!!
Absolutely dreadful company. Their contractors take days to attend for emergency support; they don’t follow up to get reports; agents do not return calls; their IT systems do not work. We have waited over a week for our home emergency claim to provide us with hot water and it is still not fixed. Avoid at all costs!
Absolutely disgusting customer service and worst company I’ve had the misfortune to deal with! Unfortunately I had no choice but to deal with them via my insurance company. Case handlers are rude and obnoxious and don’t listen. Caused me to have panic attacks but weren’t even bothered. Complaints are not dealt with properly and brush them under the table! I’m now having to go to ombudsman about them. I would encourage anyone to read the reviews before dealing with them!
Was only phoning to establish if I was covered, no clear answer apart from suggesting that he could send me claim form but might be a waste of my time. Did everything to dissuade me from pursuing rather than supporting and providing clear guidance
Much like other reviews here, I have spent months arguing with this lot to no avail. They completely ignore the basic facts of your case and pick out what they want to look at. No attempt to call you to understand what the issues are in your case or explain anything. You are expected to have a knowledge of case law to be able to argue your case, which I am sure is an 'unreasonable barrier' to making a claim? This lot should be investigated by the FCA. I have now got to hire a barrister to make them see what is already written in the papers they have seen! I will be taking this to FOS as they have dragged this out so long I apparently have now lost my right to refer to an employment tribunal. Customer relations are completely useless.
Very poor claims handling. My claim passed insurance validation checks stages then it got passed onto panel solicitors only to be told my claim is not covered under my policy. I feel scammed out of a bogus LEI policy, they wriggle out of anything and twist words for any excuse not to provide cover. Complaint to FOS imminent
Pretty disappointing. There are other companies with somewhat better reviews. Slow response, wriggling out of getting involved... I paid myself...easy, zero hassle......will make sure I spend my money with anyone else.
Absolutely astounded at the total lack of diligence, attention, focus & qualification of this company. I’ve paid for a Premium Contents insurance for >4 years which included legal cover which I hoped would never need to used. Unfortunately I was in need of claiming on my policy, following a 2-year, legally-advised situation advice that I paid for privately, but are not attempting to claim for by a partner at a law firm, who I hired. Initially Arc made all the right noises and appeared to be very helpful. However, after spending almost a WEEK uploading TWO YEARS’ worth of supporting evidence including solicitor correspondence, it took Arc 3 weeks & countless excuses to do nothing more than skim read, & pick out entirely irrelevant information in just 2 paragraphs - & that was ALL incorrect too. 2 years’ worth of supporting, legally-advised and directly involved documentation which was never properly assessed, was answered with a 1-page ‘no we won’t cover this claim’, citing - frankly - gibberish, and stating that the qualified law firm partner is wrong and their junior assessor is right !. I am now having to additionally pay for a barrister to tell them why they haven’t done their jobs, and my attempt at a formal complaint was met with Arc accusing me of “not following our complaints procedure” in a further attempt to invalidate this clearly merited case, just to avoid paying tribunal costs. I have no other option but to report this company to the FCA because they have inferred that my firm partner legal council of 2 years has misled me, and are also refusing to accept my Barristers’ retained by our solicitor to neutrally review the case too assessment because they claim only their own solicitors’ assessments are ever correct & valid. Conveniently. Interestingly, when challenged by being asked which solicitors they used they claimed they ‘outsource’ assessments because they’re “just an insurer & not qualified”, they stated that they will not disclose that information. At a time when I needed to be able to call on my legal insurance to help me, they’ve left me standing entirely alone and worse yet, siding with the defence on nonsense. One wonders who Arc are supposed to be representing because it seems to me that this company gladly cashes in on customer policy money then leaves people high & dry. My case is 100% solid. If you have legal cover in your insurance policy I highly recommend you check who provides that cover and if it’s Arc, find another policy because they’re just as dishonest as whoever you’re legally holding to account.
