“Rude, sarcastic” were the comments I had come to know about Leejoys from other parents. I had always wondered why parents who visited Leejoys (a uniform shop) in Potters Bar were always negative about the attitude of the elderly lady who owns it; now I know why. Yesterday I visited the shop to purchase three cardigans and a pair of trousers. The elderly lady was very enthusiastic to serve me and when I made her aware that I did not think the trousers would fit my daughter, she convinced me to take them, try them and said that I could bring them back if they did not fit as long as I had the receipt. This put me at ease. (I would never have bought these trousers if she had not made me feel comfortable about the possibility of returning them!) Today I visited the shop again explaining that, as I suspected, the trousers were too small. I produced the receipt which she was clearly not happy about and abruptly said , “I can't give you a refund because you paid by card.” She then pointed at a discoloured laminated piece of card on the wall. I replied that she had not told me this yesterday when I reluctantly bought the trousers. She said, “I can’t keep repeating myself to everyone,” and pointed again to the discoloured piece of laminated card on the wall. I replied, “But you HAVE just told me so why couldn’t you have said this yesterday? You told me yesterday that it wouldn’t be a problem bringing them back as long as I had the receipt.” The elderly lady just repeated herself pointing again at the piece of card on the wall. Disgruntled, she gave me a refund. She was clearly not at all happy that I had kept the receipt and was extremely rude. Now I know exactly what other customers meant when they said that her manners are non-existent and that she has an attitude. Yet another customer who will be shopping elsewhere! Well done Leejoys. Once again you have lived up to your reputation!

Poor sarcastic service. Not what you need when being in such a small untidy shop. All clothes are a different shade and they change supplier all the time. Find another shop for your needs.

Not happy with service received, ordered and paid for tops and jumpers, but not all ready and even though paid in full, still waiting for some of tops and jumpers week and half later, Even Though T OLD ON 2 OCCASIONS they would be ready. Bad service and false promises. Would not use again, will find another supplier.
