Don’t waste your money. We rescheduled a private lesson of £50 and wasn’t sent a confirmation about the same. Since we didn’t have confirmation email I forgot about the time and date so I contacted them to find out when was the class booked for and they said I had missed a lesson. One of them offered me a replacement lesson but other told me that they can’t offer anything. They didn’t even call on the day fo find out if we were coming and also told that since I had confirmation verbally so email confirmation wasn’t required. I am a human being and can forget date and time hence an email reminder or confirmation is handy if I had to refer back but was told that it’s their mistake but they won’t still refund the monies nor provide a lesson. I am planning to take them to court to get my money back. Don’t waste your time and money as absolutely rude behaviour and there’s no ombudsman either for fair trade practices.
My daughter had a birthday party there yesterday. It was amazing, very well equipped. The staff member there was lovely and extremely helpful. Thank you so much for a lovely experience.
Thriving gym set up. Plenty of equipment and also trainers. Large premises. Excited children with some space for attending parents.
Attended fun in the foam, lady at reception was so blunt and rude from the get go. No explanation of what it involves or how long the session is.nnLimited play equipment, dirty too. After 45 minutes they just turned the lights off unexpected to us as we had not been told they do this. Another member of staff came in started tidying up. I then asked her how long are the sessions? To be told 45 minutes so you have already out stayed by 10 minutes. Honestly most unfriendly bunch of staff.nn£6 for 45 minutes with limited equipment. Don't waste your money the soft play at the lesuire centre across the road is £5 for 90 minutes.
Having done gymnastics semi-professionally in the 1990’s and having my kids in gymnastics classes in three different countries in the last 8 years I can honestly say there is lots of room for improvement at the Leatherhead and Dorking Gymnastics club. While the facility is nice, the coaches are very young in a lot of cases teenagers, inexperienced/poorly trained and/or unmotivated. Additionally, there is complete lack of communication and plan for the beginners gymnastics classes. The warm up, which lasts about 7-10 minutes, is done by a single coach for a group of about 25 five to 7 year olds with nobody there ensuring they are spaced properly or to help them stretch for splits etc. The kids spend about 10-15 minutes being assigned into groups. Mine was put in as many as three different groups in one session which lasts an hour including admission about 5-10 mins and was given no instructions on how to perform the tasks assigned. The coaches just told her to skip it and didn’t bother practicing with her. I have observed this class for a couple of months now and it’s not an isolated case; this seems to be the status quo. I would think if this offering more as child minding rather than a gymnastics class. Your kid will have fun jumping around in the foam but will not learn much new skill.
