I hadn't been to the New Leaf in a few years and last night was the last time I will ever go. While the food was as good as the last timethough not as good as Tamara's, the service was a disgrace. We were seated at 20:35 but didn't receive our main until 21:45. At one stage there were six tables waiting for food. A man and his wife were sitting behind us. The man asked for a bill, which was not the first time he asked, and the waiter shouted; "It's on it's way, Ok!" There was one table that had service every ninety seconds or so. When their food was ready, there was three people serving them. It turned out that this table was the owner's, who had his back to the rest of the restaurant. While I enjoyed the food, the service made my mind up; I will never return.
Usually enjoy the new leaf, but female waitress was rude, she is not listening what you ask her. We where just asking for recommendation from menu. Totally impolite. She was loud and we did get filling that she is yelling at us. So we where really in shock because we just wanted to enjoy in ours dinner.
Can’t believe how the female waitress in The Leaf just treated my sister and I. She was obnoxious and rude and from the minute we walked into the restaurant we got the feeling we weren’t welcome. We ended up leaving without ordering as she was shouting and totally embarrassed us and sent us to the Chinese down the road... as someone who’s always been a returning customer, I won’t be back and I will NOT be recommending the Leaf to any of my friends and family!
Nice food in a quiet environment on a Sunday evening. The staff were polite and attentive, perhaps a bit loud? :-p Still enjoyable! 4 course meal recommended
We had a lovely birthday meal last week.Food was beautiful and freshly made .Staff were so friendly and helpful.Will definitely be back again and recommend The Leaf for anyone who likes good food in lovely surrounding .
Where do I start! First left message for no peppers in any meal as intolerant and yes you got it peppers in meals not hard to take out only used as garnish. Black Bean sauce is just gravy seriously bisto not at its best.salt and chilli chichen chewy as hell as was all the duck dishes. Don't bother putting in the time you want it delivered as it will just come whenever it's ready. So to summarise order anywhere else, starve or eat your own hand it will be tastier
The nicest chinese take away in Tallaght. I always order from here. The food is great and so is the customer service over the phone or when I go in to collect. Ive been ordering from here for a long time and the even call me by name. Thanks guys. Dado.
First time eating here and i would definitely return. Staff are so friendly and kind, food is amazing and the restaurant itself is so warm and welcoming!!
Really nice food, most people just get takeaway but the restaurant is charming and the staff attentive.
Great food, friendly staff, not in a hurry to throw u out, regular haunt of ours
