Lovely room, excellent location for start of The Dale's Way. Meal in the evening was very nice, however, we were up promptly for breakfast the next morning, and waiter was late - had to wait around 15 minutes before being served. Also no cereals with breakfast, so loses a few marks for this.Rooms: 5/5
Having decided on the day to go out for food, and without a reservation, we managed to walk in and be seated straight away in the dining room. I visited with DH for a Sunday lunch which was priced at £16.95 for a choice of half a roast chicken, roast beef, pork medallions or a vegetarian option I cannot remember exactly what it was. Both meals came stacked with a large Yorkshire pudding on the top, underneath there were roasted potatoes, carrots and tender stem broccoli and a small amount of red wine gravy. I had to ask for extra gravy as the Yorkshire pudding was completely dry. We didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my juicy roast chicken. DH had asked if the roast beef was served rare, and if so, could the waitress ask for his to be more on the well done side. This was no problem and he received several thick slices with a very small amount of fat attached. The waitress brought a little jug of regular gravy which we shared. We had a glass of lime and soda each with ice. We were not charged for the extra gravy, even though the menu stated you could purchase a Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes or gravy for an extra charge of £1 per item. When we received the bill it came with a 10% service charge already applied. It was just over £40 for the meal. Highly recommended was very tasty and good quality food.
I’m not one to usually write reviews but unfortunately we had booked to come for a family meal tonight, and I don’t want anyone to come here and experience the same. We received the most appalling service from one of the staff members, just generally being rude and nasty but then she even started shouting at us across the bar! We arrived and our table wasn’t ‘ready’, we understand that things can over run but not by 30 minutes for 11 people, when no one was actually in the restaurant? The staff didn't seem to know what was going on and then the beer was so poor and every one of them was flat. It was a shame as we just wanted a nice meal as a family, but we all decided to leave. Having worked in customer faced roles myself for years… I have never ever known anything like it.
Same again at Ilkley bistro Pierre, good foodit never varies service from Emily, just the right amount of friendliness and professionalism.Another pleasant eating out experience, thank you. PLUS,young waiter in striped top couldn’t stop smiling, well done young man!
Walked in to restaurant and managed to get seats and be served, even though was only 5pm. Ordered beef Bourguignon and the pork medallions plus a beer and a glass of sparkly. Lovely service. Good portions and tasty, especially the sauces, so full we didn't have room for dessert.
Visited with family for a birthday and we were really well looked after from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and a couple of small mistakes Pepsi delivered rather than the ordered Coke were corrected straight away with no fuss or bother. Food was really well done - everything was tasty and looked great. Special shout out to whomever was doing starters which we shared - all really good and so attractive. Upon inquiry it was apparently "Jack" - well done you . As with any larger table we were 9 people over 3 generations there were lots of questions and hesitation - but all the team were patient, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable to a fault. Great visit and highly recommended for a casual dinner in friendly surroundings. Walkability: Very central location and easy to walk to all of Ilkley's shops, cafés and attractions. Food & drinks: Bistro Pierre has a great French menu, well cooked and presented.
Went for steak and chips night. Was delighted with the quality of the food staff were wonderful. The food was delicious cooked to perfection. Highly recommended Food & drinks: Excellent choice and great value for Ilkley.
We popped in for lunch and was very impressed with the quality of the food that was a lunchtime special. I had a salmon and cod fishcake which was nicely presented with a poached egg on top and husband had a cottage pie. We decided to go back the following evening for dinner. Husband had a burger which he said was the best burger he ever had and I had a risotto which had so many flavours which complimented each other. The creme brulee was absolutely delicious too. Compliments to Mario the chef for the beautiful food and to James who was very professional and made our visit a memorable occasion.
Food was really good, flavoursome and value for money. Cost of drinks was ridiculous and twice the cost of pub prices. When I questioned the price of the drinks the reply was ‘we don’t price the drinks mate’!! The female staff were helpful and polite. The male, not sure if he was the manager was unprofessional and a little arrogant and aggressive. We have eaten at Pierre’s several times and always enjoyed the food and the service but this is the last time we will set foot in the place due to the attitude of said staff member.
Had a lovely meal here, delicious as always and good friendly service.Service: 5/5
