Went back here as we have ordered fence panels from Lawsons before and have known John Lawson for circa 60 years. Today the counter guy could not get his head round the fact the fence panels would fit 1.83m gaps yet somehow our posts are 1.86m apart. Easy enough to understand. He clearly could not be bothered to suggest what else in stock there would be a solution for our problem, and said "you don't mind if I serve this person do you?" then walked off to talk to someone else before we could answer! We wanted to ask about the prices of the sleepers outside in the yard because we thought that might solve our problem, but instead I just decided to walk out and order the things we need elsewhere. £456 lost guys, your customer service attitude stinks.
As a company which prides itself on delivering a service of excellence on every occasion when supplying quality carpets, laminates, floors along with luxury vinyl tiles, curtains, blinds and shutters, it comes as a nice surprise to find someone else who is working hard to mirror our standards. What a contrast between the phone and online teams. Only phoned up to check availability of a product that is listed on the website but which you can't add to basket and after looking up the SKU the person at the other end just told me to email the company with exactly the same details I was phoning him with! He sounded like he wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible without offering any advice or looking into the situation further himself. Completely disinterested and rather rude. Shame. However the online team were prompt and helpful. A real mismatch in customer service and not an efficient use of my time to have to phone and then email.

Unbelievably fantastic customer service. I rang Lawsons in despair having been let down terribly by Sheds.co.uk avoid like the plague. Lawsons answered phone immediately. confirmed they had a shed to fit my needs and delivered it the next day !!! Not only that, but delivery team could not have been more helpful. Went above and beyond to help me get parts from kerbside to front of house down set of stairs. Cannot recommend highly enough
Great company, the guys a Whetstone simply can't do enough to help .in particular Allan who has gone above and beyond giving me advice on newmerous occasions. All products are very good quality, i wouldn't go anywhere else. Not forgetting Dave also. These lads are a credit to Lawsons.
We had a delivery that was dropped off by Zac at Lawsons Whetstone Wednesday 30 June 2021, we were served by a wonderful gentleman who cut short our queuing time by getting us to go round to his desk and camly took our order. The delivery reached us just after 8am in the morning, we were very surprised. Zac was very chirpy and friendly for such an early delivery. The way he talked about his job you could tell he was extremely passionate about what he did. Lovely spritly young man who is an asset to your company, he was extremely helpful and told us loads of things about his job and was so refreshing to speak to and had us all laughing and was full of beans. Very professional and efficient he turned a boring day into an unforgettable one. Thank you Zac and for all your work which you made look so easy.
Very unprofessional customer service at Whetstone. I phoned to check what they have in stock and the person on the other end all he wanted to hang up on me. All the time he repeated phone later as we are limited of staff. He also kept me on hold for more than 2-3 mins. Horrible service from Lawson Whetstone. Thanks to the poor customer service I found all I needed on a better price as their prices are very high comparing to other merchants. I wouldn't use them anymore.
I went in today and thought I'd say thank you !! service was excellent. !!! Just wanted a couple of. 2x1. Very friendly efficient and polite. Guys From the yard to the desk to the security chap. Very well kept yard. Everything immaculately tidy and the shop was fully loaded. Very impressed.
I am very happy about the great service I received. Even though I just bought a small piece of wood. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful and friendly - I am so glad that family businesses like Lawson's still exist. Can recommend this business to everyone!
