"This is a local chip shop, for local people." Stops frying early and after that you get a choice of what is left. Which in my case was sausage and chips. Functional but not at all exciting.
For being next to the sea. I was expecting a bit better. Chips where OK but fish didn't seem that fresh if I'm honest. the batter was really stodgy and not nice at all. Too thick and not crispy. It was a 20min walk back. even though it was still piping hot. Maybe it would of been better eaten straight away
Fantastic food
Great fish and chips really good value, and the cakes are scrupulous. The staff are always friendly and chat with you.
Always nice food, if you're there earlier a good choice , decent proportions compared to the alternative in the dock
