Loved being here and Devilled Eggs was incredible once again. Please make every effort to see it for yourself! We enjoyed being in the Cellar Theatre and found it very contemporary and it made for a very personal performance. The Bar and Lounge areas were brilliant and the staff and volunteers were really nice. Excellent building as well, nice mix of old and new.
Lovely theatre. It was the first time I’d been and I was impressed with the building - the elegant facade and courtyard and the beautiful well laid out auditorium. There were lots of helpful staff. Quick service at the bar and directions to seats. The show was amazing. A century of swing. Such a pleasure to be entertained locally by accomplished and talented musicians.
We had a fabulous night at the Lawrence Batley courtyard last night for A Night At The Musicals which showcased incredible talent from a number of the local amateur societies. Lovely atmosphere, great range of acts and all at a very reasonable £10. Highly recommend the Lawrence Batley theatre as it supports both local and national productions.
Went to see Purple Rain on the big screen for the first time and it was fabulous! I’ve seen it many times on a TV screen but not in a theatre. The surround sound was amazing, very important when there’s a lot of music in the movie. The theatre is lovely, the staff so welcoming. Great experience. I could’ve sat and watched it again! Prince is my musical hero so it would be amazing if the ‘Sign O The Times’ concert movie was given the same treatment. And then maybe ‘Under The Cherry Moon’?
We are a group of ladies from Sowood Wi who had a wonderful backstage tour of the LBT and learned the history of this magnificent building . The tour was followed by the obligatory tea, coffee and cake . The lovely staff really looked after us. Thank you Nancy and Craig Xx
Great Motown Story. Most enjoyable. The theatre itself is welcomingly cosy but with lots of different spaces . "Very impressed" with all the theatre areas. My first visit and look forward to more ought to be 5 stars however don't think we ought to be disturbed by those partaking of drinks, then loo breaks.
beer taste night Really good to try different magic rocks and new drinks. Was worth the money to go to if not been before.
Great little theatre. In the main stage you get a great view from most seats. Nice and clean and friendly staff and volunteers. Feels very intimate and great sound/lighting etc Parking is available but as on street paid parking free after 6 close by and also within a 15 minute walk to the theatre in various locations. Day parking is best in the kingsgate shopping centre.
My daughter with disabilities, her husband & their two ladies with SEN went to see the comic Jason Byrne. The comedy was fantastic but the staff were also fantastic. They had seats in the upper level but when the member of staff saw my daughter, they gave her seat at the back of the stalls. Brilliant access & so well looked after. Thank you from my daughter & family.
Staff very helpful when we arrived late due to horrendous traffic and parking issues. Shown to better seats in stalls. Unfortunately we couldn’t see in the dark and my grandson caught his finger somehow and it bled. Overall the show was good but it was aimed at year 6 and above I’m a retired teacher! and my 8 year old grandson didn’t understand the earlier part- he became interested when the experiments and loud bangs began!
