Great place for afternoon tea. Delicious food at reasonable price. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
Good soup and lovely drink. Only rated 3 stars due to inattentive hit and miss service which did not come up to scratch.
Food is good and decent portions. Staff fine. Could do with a bit more ambience.
Step in to feel a very classic tea time experience. Not to mention the excellent scones. Their cakes are homemade and has that simple traditional look and taste. A visit that will leave that oldish days impression.
Cafe situated upstairs in listed building. Staff pleasant and helpful. Large portions of cakes given which always goes down well. Not suitable for wheelchairs as no apparent lift, steep stairs and quirky room layout, again, I presume due to it being listed. Down stairs is a traditional sweet shop which was excellent too!
Cracking little tea room, plenty of character and very quiant. Lovely food and a good menu to choose from. Seating outside on nice days and seating indoors overlooking the square. Good quality food at reasonable prices. We paid £14 for afternoon tea for two. Well worth a visit.

I had the ploughmans. I wasn't impressed. A lot of money for what it was. Staff very friendly though.
What can I say??? Homemade soup is a must, as is the sundried tomato bread.
