Lovely Sunday Lunch with profiteroles for dessert. Service was great! Car park on site but you may want to park elsewhere if you have a large car as it's quite tight.
Attended a wedding here and it was absolutely fantastic. Staff efficient and food exceptional. A big thank you to the kitchen staff for producing such a masterpiece. Beautiful seating outside and clean, fresh toilets. Would love to go back in the bear future.
What can I say!!!!. ABSOLUTELY Sublime! Went with friends who recently moved to the area and it did not disappoint. Food is of a high quality and too many nice options to choose from... The Sweet Shop desert IS NOT TO BE MISSED - Neither is the Chilli and Ginger Mojito
Have loved this place for years, even when it was The Maid Marion with themed nights. Now under the French chef, it continues to be a top class experience for any occasion. We have been there for family Christmases and on 2 March we went for a gourmet evening to remember my father l, whose funeral had been that week. He used to have lunch there and it was a favourite place. We celebrated him with an inventive menu of 6 courses plus coffee for the ridiculously low price of £45 a head. We had fine French wines and remembered his live of France. Thank you for working hard to have this quality of place in this area.
Came here for a murder mystery night with family and the food was excellent, my partner has celiac disease and she was really impressed - usually she is very limited with choice however Launay's has made every effort to make the menu inclusive of people on a gluten free diet. It's not often you find a restaurant that can provide an identical dinner gluten free & non-gluten free. The entertainment on the night was great and the service was second to none. The food is a tad pricey but well worth the money you pay. All in all great night! I will be back for sure.
Went for a taster meal with my grandson as a birthday treat and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was lovely. The service was quiet and efficient but someone was always around to see to anything you may need without being intrusive. What can I say about the food, to say it was delicious would be an understatement. I would go as far as to say in our eyes it was sublime. Thank you Launays for a wonderful evening. Dietary restrictions: You only had to inform the restaurant of your needs and they would help.

Sorry to say, but it was a absolute disappointment. Had to stand outside in the rain while previous diners were booted out, some of which hadn’t finished eating!! When we got our table there was food from previous sitting on chairs and floor. Drinks order taken and came fairly quickly, thank you. Empty glasses taken away, but not one of the staff asked if anyone wanted another drink for the next two hours. Food extremely poor on so many counts. Although the staff took the orders, they hadn’t got a clue who ordered what. Desert was a complete shambles, when asked for some butter to go with crackers & cheese, it was taken to a table where nobody was sat??? All in all really disappointing, £120 wasted. Will not be returning, and happy to tell people of poor food/ service. No wonder it’s up for sale!!!
Myself and my husband had a fantastic meal at Launay's last night. The service was fantastic and the owners were very friendly and happy to talk and answer your questions. What a lovely relaxed atmosphere 5*
Anniversary meal out and couldn't fault the service and food, will be returning for more. Food: 5/5
