Great food served by friendly and helpful staff. No hesitation in recommending.
Food was fantastic, loads to choose from and all freshly cooked, even my dad said how lovely the food was and he never compliments anything! Prices were very reasonable. We were made to feel welcome, the staff were lovely. Will visit again next time we visit Loughborough. Highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options. I had the veg curry, which was lovely. Kid-friendliness: We had our 9 and 12 year old nieces with us and felt perfectly comfortable there, even tho the 9 year old had ants in her pants..
Variety of food with both veg and nonveg options. Although service time can be improved overall good.Food: 5/5
Initial description was for 35-45 mins for a delivery. Once order was placed this turned into 1hr 10 to 1hr 30mins. Fine, gets busy sometimes. A message was sent shortly after the 1hr 30 mins mark saying the food was on its way. 30 minutes later still no food, the restaurant took quite some time to answer the phone, apparently the food had set off 15 minutes ago and would soon arrive. This somewhat contradicts the message saying it had set off earlier. Food arrived shortly after the phone call, some of which was now at room temperature. The food here can repeat on you anyway but when you've been waiting two hours and some of the food is basically cold....well, would not recommend and will not order from here again.
We have been going to the Laughing Buddha for years, the food has always been good and usually the service is OK, but we had a bad experience this time and the way the manager handled it was not good at all. The service on this occasion was very slow indeed, with us waiting 40 minutes between our starter plates being cleared away and receiving our main course. We chased it up several times during the 40 minute wait, each time we were told it was "just coming" - clearly a lie. The second time we chased it the response was quite abrupt. At the end of the meal there was no apology and no gesture offered, so I raised my dissatisfaction with the waitress who said dismissively "There's nothing I can do, do you want the manager?" When the manager came, she was very defensive and said "We've only got two chefs in the kitchen and they are very busy with takeaways...". Not only was there no apology again, but what an excuse! So takeaway customers are clearly more important than those of us paying full price in the restaurant!
Made a booking for 16 people for a family birthday, ages ranged from 14 to 80. Everyone enjoyed their meals, service was very good. We were seated at 2 big round tables where we could all see each other. Would definitely go again.
Had a lovely meal yesterday, we went early and by the time we left on Sunday it was nearly to capacity. Will go back, food beautiful tasty and hot Kid-friendliness: Yes children are allowed Parking: There is an NCP car park down the road
My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary meal. We'd had takeaway food from here several times but this was our first visit to eat in the restaurant and we weren't disappointed. We had a very friendly greeting on arrival and were offered a choice of table. The interior of the restaurant is clean, smart and well kept. A very pleasant eating area. We ordered our food and drinks and were given a plate of prawn crackers with sweet chilli dip as an appetiser which were a good combination. The mixed seafood hors doevres were fresh tasty and not too filling. The mains king prawn dish and a beef dish were also very fresh and tasty, even better than when delivered to home. We couldn't finish all the mains and the waitress was happy to box up the leftovers. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The bill came to £70 for four drinks, starters and two mains so isn't the cheapest but, given the quality of the food, we considered it to be good value. We'll definitely eat here again.
Christmas party was going on so it was very busy but staff was all friendly and helpfulFood: 5/5
We went here for my dad’s birthday. There was 6 of us and the service was brilliant and the food was so delicious and tasty. Really enjoyed our evening would definitely return and recommend
