Latimers never disappoints. Always fresh and delicious seafood. The staff are super friendly and helpful too!Food: 5/5
Bought a crab sandwich to take away £6.75 I thought was on the steep side however had one admittedly some years ago and thought it will be worth it. The last one I had was absolutely delicious. OMG how they have changed. Opened it up to find bright orange crab? When is crab meat orange? I suspect they are now mixed with crab paste as it shouldn't have been the colour it was. The sandwich was mostly bread big thick bloomer and very little dry suspect crab. I will certainly not be returning very disappointed
This is a great place, one of the best wet fish shops in the UK, with an onsite cafe serving great fish dishes. I had a crab sandwich washed down with the fish chowder Food: 4/5
Used to visit in the past and had some lovely lunches after a stroll along the sea front It seems the catering side is reduced and focused more on the take away side. Probably great if you want to grab a lovely crab sandwich and munch it on the beach. Not so great if you fancy a nice seafood lunch in the cafe.
We had garlic king prawns with fries, and chowder. Both were lovely, the fish was nice and fresh. We sat outside; it feels a bit like you're sitting in the car park, but this can't be helped. Overall we enjoyed our meals.
Great shop with a vast amount of different fresh and cooked seafood. Love the Hatch and little cafe they have, do a very good latte Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps to all entrances.
We chose a picnic box for 2 people. It was a wet day so we ate indoors, there are 3 or 4 tables. The food was an excellent array of crab, prawns etc.Food: 5/5
What a wonderful find! Had an amazing Vienna roll filled with hot smoked salmon, prawns and crayfish! Delicious! Husband had a smoked fish pasty that he enjoyed. Great coffee too and very friendly service. We sat outside in a lovely sheltered seating area. We then went to the fish shop and bought various seafood items to make up a seafood platter to take home - so fresh and absolutely delicious! Again, great service. Would definitely recommend
THIS SHOP /CAFE was our No 1 place to go too before the lock down COVID It has now reopened to sell seafood snacks out side and in20% more because of VAT I had a crab sandwich very nice and full of crab but bread was like door steps which took away the taste of the crab. My wife had a very large and full of prawn baguette also very nice and a cup of fish & potato chowder soup fantastic she told me. The two girls took a long time to serve our coffee too many customers and only two staff very bad. THE BAD THING TO ME was we sat outside because it was sunny but the amount of dog.. beside them barking and licking their parts while your are eating is no no for me I'm not against dogs but if the owner put them on top of there table while they were eating and drinking I don't think they would allow their dog to lick themselves in front of them but what goes non under their seat or table which they can't see is OK...... THERE should be an area for owners and dogs can go too if they want to lick their parts while others try to enjoy the scenery and a nice sandwich and coffee. £27.80 spent to see a dog barking and licking, is not on. There some very selfish dog owners I wonder if there would get upset if I put my granddaughter on the table and changed her poppy nappy while they were eating......? THIS seafood shop/ cafe is not cheap it's a treat for some, and it was NEVER like this before lockdown..it's always busy and not many seats inside the place no dogs can go PLEASE, Please put a special area outside for dogs and owner's.......and give us our special place back.... Parking: It's a small carpark only once in 5 years we could not get parked here but there is a large carpark at the back But now you have to pay unless disabled...
Kipper in a bun. Who thought of that one? It was delicious and the sea food chowder was superb. This little Cafe and sea food shop is first class. I will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5
