Lovely little coastal town perfect for a weekend quiet break away from the city. Fab eating place's around & Nardini's ice-cream parlour is a must try while visiting. The beach us perfect for a stoll on a beautiful summers day, be careful not to stand on the jelly-fish Have an amazing time when visiting Largs.
Had a great day out... decades since my last visit... frgt just how relaxing it was to walk along the beach front... great selection of bars and restaurants and loads of entertainment advertised for night-time... oh and the charity shops are f.a.b.
Largs Train Station is small, clean, and conveniently located close to the town centre, with good accessibility and useful facilities, though it’s fairly basic compared to larger stations.
What a great we place to visit. Nice shops, nice people and of course a coffee and ice cream at Nardinis. Well woth a visit
Largs has retained its olde world charm in these modern times. It has a lovely wide promenade offering bracing seafront walks The beach is shale and pebble not sand. Nearby there are terrific pubs and eateries and the incredible ice creams of Nardinis. It is only a few minutes walk from the railway station to the seafront and the ferryport for the short crossing jo Cumbrae and Millport. All amenities are clustered around this area. Worth visiting is the marvellous Vikingar history exhibition. A few miles away is delightful kelburn castle and park. A great attraction for children and adults alike. Largs is a small resort that has much to offer.
