The most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I just want my paperwork back so I don’t have to deal with them anymore. I do not understand what the issue could possibly be - other than it is lost and they are hoping I will just forget about it. Why make something so simple so difficult otherwise?nI brought my car in for a repair in December. I was not called when the car was ready, I had to chase this up. When I picked the car up, I broke down just up the road. I called from up the road where I was broken down and told they couldn't fit me back in for another couple of weeks. When it came to the day they had initially told me, I called. They told me I wasn't booked in until the following week. I had left all my car paperwork in the car, including my MOT and warranty and it was not there when I picked it up. I was told they were still waiting for approval from the warranty company. This was early January. I have called and emailed repeatedly to follow up with no response. I called and asked if I could come and collect the paperwork an hours round trip for me - I was told yes. When I arrived, they didn't know where it was. At this point, I believe they've lost it or haven't got approval from the warranty company as they contacted them after the fact and it clearly states in the paperwork approval needs to be given beforehand.nI was then told the paperwork would be sent to me by registered post THREE WEEKS AGO. I email again a week ago, no response.nZero respect for other people’s property and time.
1.Today I was called back 15mins after dropping my truck off for mot for them to tell me that their mot tester is going home early at 10:30 I was then told I should’ve dropped off at 8am however when booking I was told 9-9:30 I was there 9:45 n2. The photo added was the previous year where they cut through my brake sensor cables and poorly tapped it back together causing my warning light on the dash to flash like a Christmas tree. I’ve been a customer for years since Owen left it’s just not the same, I don’t care if this is the last garage left on earth I’m never using Lansdown again!
These guys are just great! From booking my car in, to having it fixed, to receiving the reasonable bill at the end, i can never fault the service!nBeen using them for about 2 years now. They are polite, friendly and really know their stuff.nnJust had my gear stick fixed by them on a new car a just bought. Very simple fix that they didnt charge me for. How often does a garage have that level of customer care?nnDo not hesitate to take your old or new car to these guys! you will be recommending to your friends for sure!nnThank you Lansdown Garage! its SO refreshing to have a great local garage to TRUST!nnJamie - Stroud
I don't like leaving bad reviews but had a really bad service. Dropped car off first thing and was told it would be ready to collect around lunchtime. I received no update so I phoned them after lunch and was told the part should arrive soon then they'll do it. Still no update by 3.30pm so I went to check on progress in person. Walked up to find my car left out the front on a public street, completely unattended, drivers window down, key in ignition - perfect for thieves, so was not happy about that. Really not a professional way to look after somebody's car that they trust you with. I asked for an update and was told the part hasn't got there yet so won't be able to do it that day. I'd stuck around in Stroud town centre since 9am waiting as I thought it was just going to be a few hours. Ended up waiting all day with no communication from them and the job not even done. Lost a day's annual leave. I'd booked the job a week in advance and said what the problem was, so the parts should've been ordered and ready to go on the day. Really disappointed with the service, a day wasted, car not properly looked after. Won't be using again.
