Stopped for lunch, after a brisk walk on the coastal path. Sea food and meat to eat, all well cooked and delicious. Service is efficient and friendly, with excellent views across the bay. On our visit, the weather was squally and bright blue sky by turn in equal measure. A wonderful backdrop to a nice lunch, as the breakers rolled in...dog friendly too!
Stunning tucked away spot with really lovely coffee and pastries. Stopped there in the way home. Way well worth the drive to see the view of the beach and sun lowering over it. Had a custard slice, which was naughty but yummy. Well worth a visit.
The beef roast was really good, quit alot on the plate with good views of the sea. The staff where really helpful throughout, would recommend eating here Parking: There's plenty of parking space you'll have to pay before hand
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant. We sat inside and ordered from the £22 for 2 courses menu, each of us choosing a starter and main. Food was fresh, tasted great and with large portions. Service was excellent and the location is gorgeous. 2 of us returned for lunch later in the week, this time sitting outside to enjoy the great weather and ordering from the specials board. Would recommend.
Finally used my birthday voucher from a year ago. Was unable to until now due to health issues. Must say was very impressed from the minute we entered. Lovely greeting from a very nice lady. We opted for the 3 courses.. from starters to desserts the food was fabulous, served hot , well presented and plentiful . All staff were polite and friendly. The view here is beautiful. The sun was shining which was a bonus. Parking: Great parking at rear of the restaurant
Delicious seafood, especially the seafood sharer for 2 which hosts three different types of fish, cockles, calamari, mussels and crab! Absolutely amazing selection of dishes, would recommend to any seafood fan.
This should be 4.5 stars really. Visited at about 6ish on a Friday in July. Sat on the terrace. The food was lovely if a bit pricy by gower standards; ordering a la carte significantly increased the cost of 3 courses but the staff explained this up front. The view was amazing today, clear right across to England which really made the experience special albeit that I was on my own with only a kindle for company. The negative aspects were service - sitting outside you have to go up and order. I don't mind this in a pub but in a venue with food of the standard offered it was a bit off putting. This extended to having to go up for every drink. Probably why I noticed the pricing. The staff were friendly enough but I don't think it would be bustingly difficult to take orders. Next on the to fix list was the cleanliness of the loos. Loos are a barometer for a place and these were messy - not filthy just messy. It would be nice to know where the food comes from - is this local stuff or not? I'd like the confidence that the food hasn't just been delivered by Brake brothers. Penultimate whinge: the glacial speed of the website. I tried 2 different browsers on both desktop and mobile and it had the loading speed of a 1990s 1gb desktop on dialup. I gave up trying to book and phoned instead. Last note: I don't know if I'd bring our boys here. There were rules about where chairs could go and on wearing shoes this is on the beach front that were rigorously enforced by a member of staff to quite small children. Not sure how mine would cope with having to be perfect. I would definitely go here again despite the small niggles, probably as a group of adults.
Lunch with my daughter, son in law and 2 granddaughters today and it could not have been better. The weather was superb, the view was great and the meal was absolutely delicious. All made even better by the friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend this restaurant highly Kid-friendliness: Included the children in conversation and choice of meal
Beautiful setting! Staff so very welcoming and friendly, we had the pleasure of a lovely waitress called Aura who was so cheerful, polite and friendly and nothing was too much and she helped make our lovely evening!! The food was amazing! Most beautifully cooked chicken in my delicious chicken supreme. Between the 4 of us we had escargot in garlic butter a crab starter, seafood pastas and chicken supreme and all our meals were perfect!! Parking: Carpark right outside, cheap and plenty of spaces
Great place, on the beachfront, amazing views when sitting outside, on the terrace. The staff were really friendly and the service was excellent when the food arrived it was very nice indeed. My only fault with the place are the car parks, which we couldn't get a place to park for around 25 minutes, as it was so busy being a beautiful sunny day and being a busy weekend, so overall a great place for food.
