Best cod and chips in the area. Have recommended them to family and friends who all agree. We wouldn't go anywhere else now. Staff friendly and have great banter with the public. They also do a pensioners special which is a good buy. The cod is chunky and batter crispy.

Food is always nice cooked in beef dripping. I live around 4 miles from here and with plenty of takeaways on my doorstep and I'd still rather travel across to lanehouse it's that much better. Parking: It's on a main street but other streets right next to the shop too.
A lovely lady served me, made sure I had a bun without butter, changed the paper to a tray to make sure it didn't fall out and ensured I had serviettes before I left. Food was lovely and cooked to order.
Beyond doubt the best chippy/takeaway for miles the curry sauce is to die for and the overall experience outstanding great choice great tasting food and the cheapest best value option you will find
Delicious dish and chips, cooked perfectly, at surprisingly reasonable prices. The staff were incredibly cheerful and very friendly. I was particularly impressed with the sign warning that customers would not be served if they are using their phone while placing an order. Good for them, as I find people who do this hugely rude and disrespectful. All in all, an excellent experience.
Fresh fish in lovely batter, crispy batter on spam fritter and delicious, hot chips. Spot on.Food: 5/5
All the chips were very hard very disapointed will not be returning used to be the best chippy now i would say the worst
lovely chippy. so glad we found it. cant fault it.
One of my favourite Chippy's, always perfect, fish is cooked fresh, quality batter & chips just as I like them. The staff are always friendly & happy to talk to their customers.
