Having attended a large private school myself as a child which I believed was the best school in the world, I was blown away by the landmark when we visited. The Lamdmark has a truly magical atmosphere. I LOVE that there is no entrance exam - as I believe every child has the potential to be what they are led to believe they can be - in the correct learning environment with teachers who breath belief into them. I LOVE that I could visibly see all different academic levels - as that is the normal world. I love how all of my three children - who are starting in a few days, are three academically different children , but will feel equal at the school and I have full confidence they will flourish and thrive. The small family feel gives it such a unique touch. I will write another review in a few weeks time once they have got started!
My daughter has been at Landmark for the last three years and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The school has a wonderful family atmosphere and both staff and students seem positive and happy to be there. There is a real sense of everyone working together to lift one another up - the children encourage each another to succeed rather than competing for attention. They enjoy collaborating, helping and looking out for one another. My daughter is sad whenever she has to miss a day of school - something I never experienced as a child! She is leaping ahead in learning and thoroughly enjoying the experience. We couldn't be happier to have chosen Landmark especially after disappointing experiences at a couple of other small private schools in Cambridge.
The school has a truly international environment where kids can grow and thrive. We have been impressed with the flexibility the school offers and how it adapted to digital learning and teaching through Covid. The school is led by a very inspired headmaster and the new science lab is terrific. Our children are very happy here and enjoy going to school.
What a wonderful warm welcome we received from all staff when we recently visited this new international school. The teaching staff are well experienced and extremely motivated to provide all round care, compassion and educational excellence. Nothing is too much trouble...if your child needs mother-tongue language lessons, this can be arranged. The students were delightful, polite and confident. A super school with a different homely atmosphere, highly recommended.
I have two children at the primary end of the school. They both love it so much and I feel that they both get an individulised approach to their learning which allows them to succeed. We moved to Cambridge a year ago and I found the school community very welcoming and caring. It has a good mix of british and international students which I think develops them all to being good global citizens.
There are a lot of special needs children at this school. We came here because we were promised that Dr Sturdy was going to run it when she was able. Unfortunately, she never did run it, and it was never as good as CIS. We were promised personal/individualised education and I found one of my child's teachers knew nothing about their history, which was very disappointing. What wasn't a surprise was that Ofsted recently found that it Needs Improvement. I completely agree.
Small school with children's needs to be actively managed to ensure proper level of guidance and support.
Because it’s the school I go to my name is simona and i like unicorns and stuff like that if u know
