"We make British food with a classic or modern slant and source our ingredients from the local fields, woodlands and waters. We use free range eggs, milk and cream from farms up the road. We serve a selection of local marsh lamb and pork, and fresh fish is landed a few hundred meters from us the gurnard, which tail is on our sign, was caught in Rye Bay.We are proud to say that The Good Food Guide ranks us as the best restaurant in Rye for the sixth, consecutive year. We have also been recommended twice in the new guide Where Chefs Eat. Only 40 restaurants outside London are listed, and we are the only one in Sussex."

Really tasty food and good service. Lobster orzo was really nice. Complimentary bread was delicious! Recommend booking as we had to book really far in advance for a table on Sunday afternoon.
I don't really write many reviews, but when my fiance and I went on a two-week honeymoon to France and England, I had to come back and write a review about this great place! The food, atmosphere, people, etc. Everything was perfect. The week before, we had been to some very highly-rated restaurants in Paris, but this one was our favorite of every place we went to on our honeymoon. Thank you for providing such a great meal!

Very good food quality. Service was good and besides a draughty corner with a brick column behind my elbow, the ambience was ok. The staff did close the window which improved the fraught on our table. However, overall a nice evening with good food. Three course meal for two with one glass of wine each and s coffee was £106, including service
Amazing restaurant! Definitely Michelin standard at affordable prices ! The bread is fresh and warm , straight out the oven . The servers a young man and woman who were very helpful and kind , the food was amazing , I’ve been to this restaurant 2 times already and definitely coming back again ! Compliments to the Chef , incredible Starters, mains and desserts ! Bravo
