Absolutely charming little cafe on the high street in Old Town Hastings. Super authentic English breakfast with local sausages and huge pots of tea. The two resident dogs complete the experience. Worth a stroll up from the seafront.Food: 5/5
Amazing fresh and locally produced products. Cooked to order. The best breakfast in the south east. Coffee was most delightful. The staff are polite and friendly, and cheerful. Will be going back, and no doubt making it the new go to place. Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming to children, the staff provide books for them to look at. The place itself is nice as are the staff. The food is pretty basic, no avocado god I'm that guy? I didn't read the menu before going so that's on me. Got presented with a dirty cup for tea which I asked to be replaced, a cracked plate for my meal and my side extra forgotten. If you're a snobby Londoner like me then you will be disappointed. If you're not I think you'll be fine.
worth visiting for the entertainment value alone. after ordering our drinks x2 coffees and a diet coke and returning to the counter, a different waiter was sent over to re-take our order because our original waiter said "i've forgotten already". after some back and forth about whether or not they had any baked potatoes, our order of x2 white bread sarnies turned up in brown bread and the cheese and ham sarnie turned up without the cheese. we saw staff rush out TO THE LOCAL SHOP, twice to get mayo, a can of sweetcorn and the 'brussles pate' from the local convenience store. our x2 sarnies and toast took 20 mins to arrive and our fav moment, our diet coke turned up as full fat coke, which upon opening, we realised was flat and 2.5 months out of date. a truely magical experience.

What a gorgeous little place. Had the full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection. The egg yolks were an amazing colour. Asked for my bacon well done and that was perfect! I'm a very fussy eater and I've no complaints whatsoever. Well done!
Absolutely lovely place and the people running it are wonderful. It has an amazing atmosphere and community. The food was freshly prepared and you could tell! Delicious breakfast and coffee!
