Very pleased to see the cafe and toilet open this morning on a Sunday! I agree with others that the toilet has a bit of a weird vibe - saloon style doors is a first! Currently not taking card at the moment which is a bit of a shame and £2 for a simple water too is quite steep. Staff were really nice though!Service: 5/5
Another nice place to visit but sadly the car park is policed by one of those private faceless companies, employed by the landowner. They sting you for a £60-£100 fine if you overrun on your stay, even by a few minutes. Parking: Owned by INITIAL PARKING Ltd !! BEWARE. There are plenty of other pretty places you can visit where you don't get stung by these types of companies. Personally, I won't return to Lamorna again until they re-think that parking method. Pretty - but not worth £60-100!
Car park is a rip-off. Be aware that the ANPR camera has you even if you just turn around and dont park. There are a few spaces that fill up quickly. You need at least a tenner in coins to pay for parking. The cafe is really expensive and there is no Internet signal. There's not a lot to see and do, but it's very tranquil.Food: 3/5
Great little cafe, simple fare reasonably priced, great to have a coffee and let your mind wonder as you watch the calming sea, washing over the rocks, and the carpark is cheap as well .Food: 4/5
We had such a lovely time here! My husband and I stopped here en route to Lands End while cycling from Penzance. Enjoyed delish crab sandwiches for lunch, really fresh and tasty, wonderful views also. I spent several hours here drawing and enjoying lunch. It did take a while for the order to come but we weren’t bothered as when it arrived it was so lovely and fresh! Thank you!
Location of the cafe is wonderful. The cafe serves food and drinks including cakes but I think they are overpriced for what they are. The coffee is very watered down and doesn’t taste very nice. The staff do not seem to be very customer service friendly however there was a very polite young boy working In the gift shop one afternoon who served me ice cream. He was so friendly and polite - the other staff members should defiantly learn from him!
Quick stop on our hike back to Mousehole. Good Cornish pasty and scones with generous jam and a coffee.
Only giving two stars because the view is so good. In fairness to the cafe they were in the process of shutting for the day so the coffee being served in a takeaway cup was understandable. What wasn’t so understandable was how bad the coffee was. Weak and watery, the worst we have had whilst on holiday in Cornwall. Overpriced to add insult too injury. After finishing coffee we then discovered there is nowhere at the cafe, or anywhere in the cove for that matter, to dispose of the takeaway cups. By the time we had drunk the coffee the cafe had closed so don’t know if they have toilets but the cove doesn’t have any. As a result we couldn’t make full use of the parking time we had paid for, which is expensive, as we had to leave for a toilet search. My advice is visit this beautiful cove but do it by taking the walk from Mousehole. Beautiful, but a bit steep and rocky in places. The cove is best viewed from that approach anyway and Mousehole has some really good cafes for refreshments after the walk back.
Lovely cafe with young, friendly and hardworking staff. Some of the reviews below are shameful marking the place down because of the price of an unrelated car park nearby. Delicious food and a nice view - huge portions of cake!
Friendly and helpful staff who are more than happy to recommend numbers of local cab companies if you would like to shorten your walk. Although be aware that the place closes promptly at 5pm, so they won't be able to help you phone said cab company after that.
