Great facilities, including two swimming pools and a large, modern gym that will cater for any fitness level. This leisure center is also well laid out, so all facilities are easy to get to. It is disabled friendly with excellent parking for disabled people. All-in-All an excellent leisure center that has everything you need no matter the activity you participate in.
Great leisure centre and facilities. It would be good if the pool was like Kirkby Leisure centre though, able to go on one level for aqua aerobics as seem to be either in the shallow end, towards the deep end or limited space in the middle. Great classes though
I do like lammas low cost activities to do with kids such as Swimming and play centre these being low cost useful to have near you if you live near lammas for school hols for example £5 admission or £2 for under 2s u don't need to pay for adult like the likes of jangos Plus arguably there's more there then jangos play centre and others Also the swimming pool is good very cool relaxed activity to do with the kids also low cost From what I gather lammas is one of the best leisure centres around locally can't think of any others that has all of the following nearby :soft play :ice skating :laser tag :swimming :gym :variety of sporting activities to book :courts and pitches :fitness classes This leasure centre seems have it all
Talking specifically about the gym here... I've been a regular for the last 8 months and can't fault it. Great equipment, good opening hours, friendly staff. Apart from the odd ignorant sod, the other members are a decent bunch as well. Obviously there are times you have to avoid but that's the same anywhere.
Absolutely awful now that kids are allowed in the gym until closing time. It is like a youth club. They are sat on equipment in groups of 3&4 just talking and taking photos and not training. Staff don't seem to care that they are all just lounging around and having a total disregard for equipment etc. Through this I have cancelled my 20 year plus membership , it used to be a good place to train.
Kids enjoyed ice skating to Xmas tunes and I had fun in the well equipped gym. It wasn't too busy and the music was only slightly terrible but tolerable...
Our son loves the soft play here and we find it very good value for money. We swapped to here for his swimming lessons as his previous provider could only offer us a slot for his age group at the same time as his nap. We do love the lessons, and he has improved greatly. However, we would like to have some pictures of his swimming journey, which we could with our other provider. We don't understand how we can take pics during open swimming sessions, but not in lessons. We only want pics of him, and wouldn't include other children/families or the instructors. As such we will probably move back to other provider once he stops napping.
I come here nearly every day of the week for Gym and Fitness classes, my children also attend swimming lessons and everything is normally great! Just recently the cleanliness of upstairs dance hall is disgusting. The floor is covered in mud, stones and hair and has been the same for weeks. It's disgusting when you have to lay on the floor when working out and someones hair is layed on the floor next to you. Something needs to be done in regards to getting the hall cleaned properly, its unhygienic!
A lovely family park and a relaxing pool area for the summer days we will be having.
I will post this for a second time as my comments have clearly been taken down by the company due to being part of the council, After a poor experience, people should be able to see this review comment to make their own judgements, On entering the building our son ran into a metal advertising board and it fell and cut him, we then went up for the soft play session with our autistic nephew at 11:27 we were told by a rude member of staff that we had to wait until 11:30 which would be fine if they had already moved on the other session but still had to wait for that therefore cutting our session short and as it is Christmas the sessions are shorter anyway. During our session, my autistic nephew managed to go into the laser tag area which the exit had been left open by a member of staff and again the rude member of staff aggressively approached our autistic nephew who was already struggling with sensory overload, after that when we were explaining that he had autism on multiple occasions and Is non verbal the staff members carried on then being aggressive towards another family member and blaming us for the failings of the centre, A short while later, after that settled down, a member of staff let our nephew out of the soft play centre who then ran all the way to the ice rink and nearly stepped on the ice again we get our nephew back to the soft play at this point it really didn't feel safe at all for our children, At 1 pm on the dot we got a tannoy telling us to collect our "things" and to get out as the centre was closing something we were unaware of before entering the centre they then switched the lights off to rush us even more and we had to get all the children together and sorted we couldn't do that when we had an autistic child that is now panicking due to the lights being switched off, On the way out of the building the staff members downstairs were mopping the floors and the tiled floors were very slippy and was no way of avoiding it we had a couple of our older members of the party slipping and unsteady due to the wet floors the slipped and very nearly fell over. In summary, I do not recommend the whole centre for children under 5 as it is unsafe for them to use. I will keep posting this review until it is left for public view as it is not right negative true reviews are being removed by the business
