Simply excellent. Had the lunchtime menu consisting of an exceptionally nice soup, generous rump steak and a superb desert. All for £25 plus a £3.50 steak surcharge. Steak was so tasty I'm feeling hungry again writing this. Been a couple of years ago, will be going again sooner. Parking: Parking in Stratford is not easy, but the Park and Ride is frequent, quick and cheap.
During a recent visit, we dined at both The Vintner and Lambs. Based on the menu similarly, I suspect both have the same owner. The Vintner was very good, but Lambs showed why it is a Michelin starred restaurant. The attention to detail was excellent, some of the best food we have tried in a long time. Scallops, Lamb and Chocolate Mousse were all the clear winners! Would definitely recommend it!
Second time we have been, another great experience. Food was lovely, I had the Gressingham Duck, which was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing, my wife had sea bass, which she thoroughly enjoyed!! Prices are reasonable too...would definitely recommend. Really good espresso martinis too!
Loved it,quiet at first then within half hour was full, turning people away who hadn't booked.great choice on the menu, loved it, spicy duck starter was excellent. Definitely will return.btw, staff were brilliant, very knowledgeable.
Visited here in half term during a trip to Stratford. They were busy but service was not affected. The lunch is great value for money and the Cajun chicken was excellent. There was a good cheese board on offer with quince jelly. Last visited on 2012 and can say that it has lost none of its character and ability to produce great food!
I Recently visited lambs and it was fantastic food. The service was good too. Not intrusive but there when you wanted it . It was late in the evening when we ate we like to eat late but the standard was still consistent . I had a Halloumi starter with capers which was tasty and the lamb cutlets where lovely, served pink as they should be, however the red wine jus really needed to reduce down further to get some more taste in, and the dauphonise potatoes were good if, a little dry, overdone on the top but still very nice. The dessert, a pear and almond sponge was very nice and light, the only thing was the pastry tasted a little soft, as though it had been warmed in a microwave. However these are all minor details and the food, ambience and service made a great visit and the pricing was reasonable. Would definitely go again. Well done. Happy customer.
2021 Michelin star restaurant. Fully booked all summer starting 7 pm. If you arrive early around 4 on you may have a chance to book from 5 pm to 7 pm. Food and service is outstanding!!
Delightful little restaurant in Shakespeare’s home town. Quaint 16th century building, low beams, excellent staff. Have to reserve a table in advance. Had delicious mussels, duck breast, calf’s liver, with wonderful side dishes.
Called in for a light lunch .. impressed with the crispy duck salad starter which we had as a main .. very tasty! .. not a huge menu choice but from what I could tell from other diners .. what they have .. they do very well .. regulars were having the lamb and pork as if they have it every week! .. will be back...
This was my first time eating here and I absolutely loved it. For the price it was such good value for money. I would highly recommend visiting if you are in Stratford ! Can’t wait to visit again
