This is a beautiful walk the views from the top of the Viaduct are lovely. We wondered down the stairs and followed some of the route it got to dark so we had to turn back but i will be going again to do the full walk. The routes are well sign posted so it's easy to follow. Only the viaduct itself is wheelchair and pram accessible.
A very pleasant walk along the old Alston railway line to Lambley Viaduct. Easy walking and suitable for all ages and abilities. Some steep steps if you do the circular walk,but if you stay in the old railway line route then it's level and easy walking, after all,it is an old railway line!
Walk north to Haltwhistle or south to viaduct along the South Tyne Trail. Easy walk on cinder track. Viaduct exit is blocked south unless you take a scenic route down tbe steps towards the river.
This is an excellent place to park as a stepping out point for lots of walks in the area. A visit to Lambley viaduct is well worthwhile and the local Wallace Arms is worth a visit at the end of a walk.

A good walk from the parking place and part of a much longer previous railway line route. You can do a circuit descending to the footbridge you will see in the valley below. Wonderful Victorian railway viaduct to marvel at.
