Great place to visit, lovely cars and bikes kept in fantastic condition. Something for everyone and so interesting. Staff were helpful and friendly, made sure we got the most from our visit. Seeing the Bluebird exhibit was a bonus but the best bit was the coffee shop/restaurant - service, coffee and cakes.
Exactly as expected a lovely place to spend a couple of hours looking at old cars, bikes, be bicycles to and lots more. Everything on display was in beautiful but condition and so clean. There is a cafe attached but it was so crowded we did not stop. I'm guessing it might be slightly less crowded on a weekday rather than at the weekend.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
We really like thus museum. It's medium sized, but has a lot packed in and would easily fill a morning or afternoon visit. The cafe is also pretty big with good options for kids. The Donald Campbell exhibition in a separate building adds another element of interest. The variety of cars is great, from the earliest examples to modern 'practical classics'. If you are into classic motorbikes, there are loads! Parking is free and plentiful. Under 5's go free, though good luck getting any car-loving child through the gift shop without your wallet becoming a little lighter!
If you love your classic cars, classic motorbikes and the smell of old motor oil, then this is the place to visit. It really does take you back to where motoring and the cars were at there best, and still as good looking as ever. Very well looked after vehicles.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
What a cracking museum. Tremendous variety of exhibits and lots of explanatory write ups and insights. Good ‘mixture’ of motor cars and motorbikes. Really enjoyed and appreciated the separate Bluebird/Donald Campbell exhibit. Wonderful, high quality Cafe Ambio on site Please note, this review appreciated and acknowledged by the museum
Interesting visit, we enjoyed the cars and were pleasantly surprised with all the motor bikes and the Campbell experience. The children were given a quiz sheet each, they enjoyed finding the answers within the museum. Well laid out, had polite and knowledgeable staff. There's a coffee shop/restaurant there too... Lovely
A brilliant trip. The exhibits are plentiful, well displayed and interesting. Loads to see with plenty of unique vehicles and enough motorbikes to keep us bikers happy. The cafe was probably the tastiest we have experienced, so don't miss out expecting the usual over priced curled up sarnies. This is a must visit for anybody in the area, particularly at such great value.
Absolutely fascinating museum. Fantastic car collection and lots of info to read. My son particularly loved the old retro car games, that you could play! A lovely shop too and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Cool little Museum with some classics! Escort Mexico, Cosworths among many others, it’s well worth a visit if you’re into bikes and cars! I would’ve taken more shots but it would ruin the trip! It was £11 for adults and £6 for kids under 4 free. Nice coffee shop opposite and Campbell blue bird…interesting and fun
Not the biggest motor museum but a little gem nevertheless. Guaranteed to trigger nostalgia and feel good hormones, my wife and I were constantly saying " I remember that" and "it was a great car/bike". It usually was too. Nice spread of types of car and motorbike. A large collection of early powered bicycles on the upper level. See if you can spot a cheeky police officer as well. A warm welcome at the entrance preceded an even hotter museum as it was a sunny day. Take water with you. Toilets were clean and there is plenty of free parking. Usual gift shop on way out and a pretty good cafe with nice veranda, where you can reminisce about your nostalgic trip down memory lane.
