Well stocked with very helpful and friendly staff. It makes a real change to step into a retail store where there are knowledgeable, well trained staff on hand to help make your shopping an enjoyable experience.
Lakeland are the last bastion of great, customer-centric service after the decline of John Lewis. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and kind and the stores are attractive stocking a wide range of household products all of which pass the company's high standards. The company believes that the customer is always right and backs this up by offering an unconditional right to return goods that don't live up to expectations - they also publish customer feedback, warts and all. I've shopped at many Lakeland stores and they all meet the same high standard of service - the Handforth branch is conveniently located with a decently sized car park.
Always a great place to shop with really friendly staff and not usually too busy. Currently a good selection of Christmas stock in store.

I can't compliment this store enough. It is a wonderful shop with high quality products. Some products are a little pricey but you find products you never even knew you needed. The staff are well trained. They know in great detail about the products they sell. They provide an excellent service and are extremely pleasant and helpful from the minute you enter the store. There are plenty of staff so if you have a query you don't need to go looking for one. But you don't feel they are hanging around waiting to sell you something. If I was to be picky I would suggest they do a small revamp in the public toilet as it is looking a little tired hook on the door, damaged, unit under the sink water damaged but it was very clean and smelled fresh. Well done the staff you bosses should be very pleased with you all.

Great service and choice. Expensive compared to what you can buy same items else where.
My wife and I really like this shop. It is old fashioned in the best possible way. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and never pressure you to buy anything. Support it if you can. If we lose such places they will be gone forever.
