I took the kids 3 and 1 to the playground by the cafe in the park and loved it. Lots of play equipment. Really clean and well maintained. The playground is gated with 2 entrances. There is a car park right next to it and the cafe is less than 2 min walk unfortunately it was closed yesterday so didn't go in would definitely come again
Good park to have so near to a town centre. Absolutely full of dogs and their associated walkers, including some pretty cool mixed breeds. Pretty good for a jog.nnLake is the key point, full of ducks and geese and moorhens and spooky cormorants doing their thing.nnMost notable thing is the fact that you can buy bird feed with a credit cards and a automated kiosk… best way to while away the time while everyone’s arguing over how long to cook a turkey!
Always enjoy visiting Lake Meadows. Free parking between 10am and 3pm. The cafe seems to open only in school holidays . Toilet facilities are always open, not the cleanest but fine for a park. The lake is beautiful, lots of wildlife. The gardens are always well maintained and there is a small trail through the woods. So something for everyone! Good playground too
Wonderful park with sports grounds, play ground and lake.
Grate place for the family to spend some quality time together. There a café which has a good choice of food, hot and cold drinks, be warned that they operate on a cash only basis . There's a play ground, fishing lake for those with the appropriate licence etc and a small nature trail through a woodland area. Parking available, however depends on the time you park as to if there is a charge, which is only pence, I believe. There is also a public bath's.
