Great place to stay and relax with a bit of fishing and get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life and tigger the cat is a nice visitor every now and again

A Great holiday place if your into fishing and wildlife in general. You couldn't fail to catch a fish and the place is so peaceful you can really relax. The owner Alfie is a great guy and will do anything he can to help you out and recommend places for you to go for food etc. If you walk into the big field early in the morning or as its getting dark you are almost guaranteed to see a deer and there is evidence of badgers living nearby as well. The fishing lakes contain lots of common and mirror carp, Rudd, goldfish, tench and pumpkinseed fish which was a new one for me when I caught one and even better the carp will eat pretty much anything so if you run out of bait use some food from the fridge! Although there are lots of fish in the lakes there aren't any monster fish, the biggest I have heard of being caught there is around 20lb but that is still a decent size. Overall a very nice place if it suits your interests
