Lagan Valley LeisurePlex

About

The Lagan Valley LeisurePlex has established itself as one of the most popular leisure destinations in Northern Ireland. There are a variety of activities on offer at the facility which make it one of the most unique local authority leisure facilities.

Story

Leisure Pool/Competition Pool
Lagan Valley LeisurePlex boasts one of the biggest pools of its kind in Northern Ireland and is renowned for having some of the fastest, longest and wettest water rides in Ireland.

In the competition pool, swimming lessons are ongoing for different age groups as well as water polo, competitive swimming and events.

3G Football Factory
The pitches offer state-of-the art artificial grass fibres suitable for all-year outdoor football and the facility can accommodate 5-a-side and 7-a-side football. This facility can also be used for other sports including tag rugby and Gaelic football. The project took six months in total to complete and cost Lisburn City Council £1 million to build.

Vitality Health and Fitness/Fitness Classes
Gym membership in the LeisurePlex includes full use of the health, competition pool and fitness suite as well as the classes on offer. Our Health and Fitness Officers are at hand to find out what each gym member wants to achieve, and meet these goals through personal fitness programs. Health checks can also be taken and progress in personal programs can be monitored every few weeks.

Lagan Valley LeisurePlex was awarded Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation in 2013 and 2014.

Good spot with the slides, lazy river and the kids water play area! It’s great for the older and younger ones. Always a fun time here ! Make sure to book in advance to get spaces as it’s popular. I Definitely recommend here
The only easy access swimming pool Post Covid in Northern Ireland and it’s still an online registered booking, time restricted and limited in a different city.. away. Book in advance! When you do get in, it’s actually over crowded with no restrictions whatsoever. Your practically unable to get a ring for the slides in your 45 minutes which includes finding free cubicles and lockers and undressing and having to queue half your time away for the non ring slides too with 50+ other people, while the main pool itself is also just overcrowded 100+ with people moving in an anti clockwise tide of stray arms and legs.
Very good pool, lots of things to do, like go on lazy river my favorite the big slides at the top floor, the white slide also my favorite, a water park, a hot tub and just a normal big pool. Theirs restaurants for adults and alike, a chill area, a good changing room, good service bonus ice cream I recommend this leisure pool!
Great place to have fun and get fit.
We like it. For kid was so happy day. But .....It's not the first year we've taken our child here to unwind. And in 3-4 years it is impossible to fix the toilets. Constantly, sitting in the main hall, it stinks. And food is still being prepared. How can you eat when you smell the toilet.
Really good pool for younger kids to experience water.
The gym area really lets this place down. For some reason they decided to start bookings again. The staff literally do nothing but sit at the desk, talk to their colleagues and stare at kids who are lifting. 95% of the staff don't bother to clean the lockers, the steam room is ALWAYS broken, toilets always smell like ammonia, they've had the same cheapskate technogym equipment for years and over a span of 2 years they've added maybe 2 machines that people use. Sauna and pool are good in spa, apart from that there's no reason anyone should go to this gym over other gyms. PTs don't care about the people's lifting form, they just let them do whatever and get injured because they don't want the confrontation and accountability required. Really could do with new staff
Very nice leisure pool, good to bring your kids here for a dip and some aqua play. It is a really popular place and can get pretty crowded during peak hours, need to book well ahead in advance.
Don’t go to the leisure pool when the schools are off. Spent £31 for a family of 5 for 80 mins slide session. Kids only managed to get down 2 slides each!!! The pool was absolutely jam packed and the queues to get down the water slides were ridiculous!
Loved our visit here to go on the water slides and the lazy river. It was very busy. Went on the blue slide with my sonwho is 8 both of us noticed that you hit your backside and lower back quite a bit on the bottom of the 'ramps' Not to mention me falling out at the bottom and banging my head twice. Plenty of staff about incase they are needed. Will definitely be back!!
