Story

Established in 1993, Lady Bountiful is the brainchild of Alice Jacob. When Alice developed a thyroid condition she watched her size 12 figure disappear along with her choice in fashionable designer clothing. Not happy with this situation, Alice sought to remedy it by launching Lady Bountiful, a fashion boutique specialising in high quality plus size ladies clothing.

In response to the demand for elegant designer plus size clothing, Alice travels to Europe to source Collections with her clientele's specific requirements in mind. This approach to buying designer clothing is what makes Lady Bountiful unique, with clients travelling from as far as The Channel Islands.

Additional to the unique buying approach and integral to the shopping experience offered at Lady Bountiful is the expert seamstress service. This means the clothing you select can be tailored to match your exact size and shape for the most flattering and elegant appearance.

First established in Manchester City Centre, Lady Bountiful now resides on the high street in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, the bohemian Greater Manchester suburb, now easily accessible from the motorway network (via the M60 and A5103) and also from Manchester City Centre via Tram.
