Absolutely outstanding service, atmosphere and food: the perfect place to warm up after a walk in the beautiful surroundings with hearty yet refined food in one of the beautiful rooms, by the fireplace or in the bright room looking out to the garden. The Haggis balls and mushroom and spinach pie were truly exceptional.
It had been a while since we had last visited here in fact before the pandemic started so we were long over due a visit here. This was always one of our favorite places to eat and they let well behaved dogs in as well which was a worry as our dog is borderline on the well behaved part. We didn't have a reservation but as we were there early enough they managed to find a table for us. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is just simply great. Very good portion sizes and the prices are very reasonable. They serve their own beer/ale. I didn't have any with the meal but when we were leaving we went into the shop next door where they have a good selection of beer and ale including there own. Needless to say the car rattled like a bottle bank every time we hit a bump on the drive home. Oh the beer was good.
Excellent service! Ordered chicken goujons and was satisfied. A bit pricy in my opinion but understandable considering the location. My friend ordered burger with fries and was really disappointed in the burger which was basicly a cutlet and bread and a bit of cheddar. Friendly and welcoming staff!Food: 4/5
We really needed a break from our drive from Oban to Sterling. The Lade Inn served us even without a booking. The food was delicious and before long, we were on our way again.Food: 5/5
We ordered Hagis, Steak Pie and Wild Mashroom Pie. Everything was delicious. Prices reasonable. Time to serve acceptable. Unfortunately WiFi coverage is bad. Doesn't work outside at all and also inside disconnects and works extremely slow. Vegetarian options: There were few vege options. Parking: Parking can fit enough cars to fill the restaurant with guests : Wheelchair accessibility: We came directly after a person on electric wheelchair who was able to get in without assistance. There are no steps, just some small thresholds.
As a first time visitor here myself, my friend and her baby were made to feel really welcome by staff. The lady who waited on us was lovely, the food absolutely beautiful I had the burger and it was the nicest I have ever tasted. I'm glad to see they are dog friendly as I am going back again soon with my partner and our dog.
Fabulous local country pub with friendly staff. Great selection of ales & beers. Also a decent wine list! We shared a haggis balls starter and both had the steak pie. Struggled to walk home Really tasty food and the staff are lovely. Dog friendly too, lots of pooches in.
Good spot if you want to enjoy yourself in the sun and have a beer or two and maybe going for something to eat Food: 4/5
Met others here recently for coffee and a chat. Relaxed atmosphere and prompt service made it a pleasant stay. I was particularly impressed with the complimentary choc-ice provided with my Americano. What a great idea! The perfect complement indeed!Service: 5/5
