This was my second trip to La Tasca and underlined just how important service is to any restaurant. We were a group of 14, outnumbering diners at all of the other tables combined. Our waitress was sour and standoffish, getting clearly annoyed when we announced there would be more of us to come; this was before we'd ordered and with plenty of room for them to sit, she just had to move a table and set a few places. When it came to ordering drinks we were refused Mojitos, she said there were "No Mojitos tonight" but then we clearly saw another waitress serving one to a different table. Our waitress obviously couldn't be bothered with the hassle of the drink that we wanted. Just as well, as it took 10 minutes for us to get 4 pints. Do your job. A big table is a chance for a big tip, not a big hassle. There was just the right amount of food and it all tasted good, but the sheer hostility of that waitress means I will not be going back again. She single handedly ruined a restaurant which on my first visit, when we had an engaging, friendly waiter, I thoroughly enjoyed.
Good range of food for Tapas. Prices become a little bit on the high side considering the dishes are smallish, but all are very tasty. Been a few times recently and each time had a good meal, but came away feeling like I had spent a little too much for the food I received. Service has been a little hit and miss on each visit, but generally good. I have been twice for lunch and once for dinner. <edit> This place is now closed.
