I absolutely loved this little find in Oxford High Street. Excellent tapas! The menu was perfect and the food was fresh and well cooked not to mention great presentations. Wonderfully made cocktails. The staff were just devine. 3 members who were all attentive and the chef who came out to greet us and check on our food. Best tapas I've had in oxford. Very authentic to Spain and the cutest decor. Will be Coming back soon and bringing more people x
As a Spanish person I was very excited to try a restaurant that had Spanish food in Oxford. Sad to say I was disappointed as most of the food was very salty and oily. It also took a long time for the food to come. The portion sizes were also not very big and in my opinion it was expensive for what it was.
Had an evening meal here and the food was amazing, some of the best Spanish tapas I've had! In addition to this, I would highly recommend the strawberry daiquiri- it was the best one I've had - it was short and super fruity The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was quick - would highly recommend a visit to this cute little restaurant .
The staff were super friendly, even offered to take a photo of us which was nice. The food was really nice, really liked the croquettes, chorizo, payatas bravas, king prawns and chorizo! Everything we ordered was very tasty!
Really nice place and environment, proper Spanish! Food was ok, we were 2 and ordered 7 tapas and we were well full, I'd recommend 2/3 per person. We ordered a tapa fría de torilla, which was like Tesco's, and gambas al ajillo which were awful tbh. On the positives, pimientos del padrón, calamares and albondigas were delicious and decent amount of bread to dip!! Amazing variety of Spanish beers and reasonable price for all we had. Friendly staff as well, I'd go back for another Spanish night!!
Just off the high street, down an alley is La Taberna. Well, what a treasure! The atmosphere was so lovely, didn't feel like we were in Oxford. The food was amazing and came out quickly. Wasn't too busy either but we did come on a Wednesday evening! I would highly recommend this little tapas place
Delicious tapas, very nice staff, and lovely interior.
I wouldn't go back Went early Friday evening, a few people there, nice ambiance. However, the bread tapas came with mostly bullet size bread sticks and four of the smallest bits of bread imaginable. Think the smallest bit of bread that you could pick up with two fingers; think a slice of baguette cut into four pieces. Came with a small saucer of oil just enough for what was there and the smallest splash of balsamic imaginable, certainly not enough to add any flavour. For those reasons alone I wouldn't go back.
Absolutely lovely people, slightly difficult to find but definitely worth it-we called up and they actually kept the kitchen open for us! Lovely food and wine with a very sweet authentic interior!
We had a lovely experience. The staff were super nice & the quality of Tapas was excellent. Tiny restaurant but nice vibe & atmosphere.
