My partner and I decided after a late finish at work to go for an italian in our local town for the first time. We have lived in Dorchester for 7 months. We turned up on a Thursday evening around 7.45 and I went in to the restaurant to see if any tables were available. It looked a little dated and old fashioned but this did not put me off. The clientele seemed a little older but maybe this was something to do with a fish set menu they had on. We were not interested in this and were going to use the al a carte menu. everything seemed ok with the waitress until I mentioned we had a baby with us. She replied how old?? Does it sleep or cry?? I replied she is 18 months who knows what she will do? She replied sorry you cannot have a table because of the old people!! Very rude, dated, old fashioned and obviously not interested in young families with money to spend. More interested in cheap midweek set menu off loading old food to old people. Cant see that lasting long. Steer well clear. Horrendous experience.
This is a really nice, simple Italian restaurant producing good food at low prices. The family who run this business are fantastic, children are made to feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble. Eat here.
A good place to eat, sensible menu that offers good quality food as it would be in Italy. Service is attentive. Costs about £25 per head for a 3 course meal inc drinks.
Managed to get a last minute table on a very busy night, gorgeous food, run by an Italian family doesn't get much better and real value for money
This restaurant is fantastic, food, service and great value for money.
