Paid 12 quid for Capricosa which was meant to have HAM in it! La Favorita - you are a joke, where is the ham??? Poor quality pizza, you can probably buy better from Asda or Tesco. I don't expect a refund or anything but this is the last time I'm ordering anything from this place. AVOID!
Food is great but we had issues! One of the pizza we ordered deluxe had slid off of the base itself! Creating a pretty terrible pizza situation!
Maybe not the cheapest pizza delivery option in Edinburgh, but definitely worth the quality. Been using La Favorite for quite a few events and placing bulk orders to feed all our guests and given enough time even 20 large pizzas are top notch quality once delivered. Loving the not too oily bases with great selection of toppings. Will order again!
Great ingredients and food as always. Terrible service and shocking attitude. Ordered two of the meal deals they have for one person along with another starter so quite a large order and spent just over £42 which was more expensive than advertised online also wouldn’t let me place order online. Was meant to receive a starter, 10inch pizza, juice and small ice cream within the meal deal. No juice and no ice cream. Also no additional topping of rosemary potatoes that was paid for. Or the garlic bread with the meatballs. Delivery driver was very apologetic. Staff member on phone however was not. Very rude and did not seem to have a care in the world or more importantly about the paying customer. So not only been overcharged... but didn’t receive goods that I’ve paid good money for?!? No refund. No apology apart from driver. Terrible service all reflecting a terrible experience. Highly recommend you look at training your in store staff some manners and courtesy.
This is a difficult review. The pizza was absolutely fantastic - really one of the best pizzas I have had. The base was brilliant and the toppings were fresh and perfectly cooked. However, on the two occasions I have been here the service has been poor and our orders have been prepared incorrectly with items missing. A shame, because the pizzas and pastas really are excellent.
Whilst the pizza is fantastic, the two times we have been we have had problems with our orders. Once a pasta dish was missed off the order, and the second time the toppings hadn't been added to one of the pizzas. Hopefully they may be able to redeem themselves in future as the pizza is good, but so far we haven't had a great experience of their service.
First off La Favorita arguably has the best pizza in Edinburgh, although that's not tricky when the majority of pizza places here are American style franchises. When the pizza from LF is good, it's really good. However, I have found the quality to be very inconsistent. We are always sent a survey after our orders, and the several times I have left improvements/ complaints, these have been ignored. Such includes the use of frozen spinach gross on a pizza; potatoes on pizza being undercooked as in still crunchy; and the pasta dishes being overly salty, as to be inedible. I'm also annoyed by the fact that herbs are never chopped up finely. I don't like chewing through several stalks of parsley in my gnocchi.
Amazing Gluten free pizza! Had the Meat Feast on a gluten free base and it's the closest thing to a 'real' pizza base I've ever had. Will certainly visit again for my takeaway pizza needs when In Edinburgh. Only thing was it being slightly on the expensive side when it tastes that good, you can't complain too much!
Easy to order Delivered well before estimated time. Food so fresh, hot, very well presented and tasty. Loved the brushetta. Husband loved calamari. Pizza really good. Thanks new customers.
After a disastrous previous order where our food arrived over two hours late and stone cold, it's fair to say the bar was set pretty low. La Favorita, however, in an impressive display of ineptitude, have managed to limbo right under that bar. Not only was the food late, and cold; but it was also downright inedible - with a distinct lack of meat on a meat pizza and almost no cheese. Add to this the fact that the delivery driver felt the need to complain about having to drive to our house even though we gave him a tip and didn't say a word about the late delivery and all of this culminates in an underwhelming and frankly pitiful performance that wouldn't look out of place on an episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. tldr: La Favorita's pizzas are equal parts disgusting and late 0/10
