Absolutely amazing! We visited 2 hours after arriving back from Madrid, myself and husband were dying for some more Spanish food! Our daughter told us about the place and she loved it, so we decided to try it. The service was second to none and the owner was amazing, he even helped us practise our not so good Spanish. The food arrived and OMG, it was just like being back in Madrid! I have eaten at a number of tapas restaurants all over England and I have to say that La Estrella is the most authentic Spanish restaurant we have visited! We had a number of dishes including some of the specials, the rosemary and thyme steak is a must, we even ordered it twice more after the first one! Overall it was a fantastic experience and we have already visited them 3 times since our first one only 3 weeks ago. It is also great value for money so anyone who says differently certainly has never experienced proper tapas in England! Well done everyone at La Estrella, Superb job! Love Sandra x
Dined here on Saturday with my family the restaurant was busy however, our experience was excellent from start to finish. We ordered a few dishes at a time the potion sizes are a good size and great value for money. All the dishes where full of flavour, the tomato meatballs, fabada and croquettes where definitely my favourite and went very well with our bottle of reserva! Our lovely waitress looked after us all evening ensuring everything was perfect despite the restaurant being full. Thankyou for a lovely meal we will definitely be returning very soon and highly recommending! Our new favourite restaurant!!
Visited here a few times and every time has been incredible! Nice little tapas restaurant with a really nice Atmosphere. We have been seated straight away everytime we have arrived by very friendly waitresses who are also very attentive to ensure our experiences have always been great. As for the food it’s amazing and full of flavour just like being in Spain. The ham croquettes, tomato meatballs and salsa prawns are so tasty and fresh! Will defiantly be returning here! By far the best restaurant in Chorley!
The food was awful it tasted like it was reheated and was very poorly done worst £43.14 I’ve ever spent on 4 tapas and 1 pint and a small lemonade and a pint of coke. We were looking forward to Spanish food my husband lived in Spain for 8 years and he thought everything was awful too ruined our date night we wanted to tip the waitress as she was really good but didn’t want them to think the food was good. I wish that I hadn’t even walked through the door now I’m hoping that they start cooking fresh food as it’s all frozen and store bought by the taste never again and would warn anyone goin in there. The atmosphere is lovely looking but it’s so noisy even with only 7 other people in there.
Came here last Wednesday with my husband and what can I say, the waitress was very attentive and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend the rosemary steak and the fabada as our favourite although every dish was delicious and nothing was left to waste, finnished nicely with coffee and a dessert. A little surprise found in Chorley and we will definitely be returning very soon
Visited this little cosy restaurant in Chorley on Saturday night! Firstly got a lovely warm welcome by a friendly waitress. There was also a guitarist playing which was also fabulous: The food is out of this world full of tasty flavours and lots of hard work go into all dishes as they come nicely presented. All staff are so friendly and attentive! Will definitely be returning:
After waiting 45 mins for the food to arrive we were expecting something fantastic, sadly not. From arriving and ordering drinks, when you ask the waitress what beers they have and they say I don't know, were off to a bad start. The food arrived and it was either, dry overcooked chips, wrong meals, overcooked chicken and steak, oily asparagus. I'm not one to usually complain about the food in places but our party of 6 were all in agreance that it was substandard food and we won't be returning
Went for my friends birthday tonight, I was a bit dubious as it was very quite. Well what a lovely surprise in chorley! Lovely and curtious staff, great ambience, excellent food and value for money! You can't go wrong! We are all going back next week for Spanish class and tapas! Well worth the visit!
The service was ok but the staff were lovely and the food amazing. Could not fault the food at all. The calamari was perfectly cooked and was my favourite dish. If they can get that right, you know your on to a good un. Plenty of choice on drink too extending beyond the menu to include a number of gins! Word of advice though. ...The portions are brilliantly big for tapas dishes. 2 with a shared side between 2 would be more than enough. We had 3 to 4 tapas dishes each which resulted in leftovers purely because we couldn't fit it all in ! Would definately go again.
Second visit in two days! We love it. Proper Tapas. Excellent food. Pure tapas menu. Great service with lovely people. This could become our regular place to eat out.
