Not recommended. Food was really late. Left waiting in freezing cold waiting area. Food was not nice. The Thai green curry was nothing like its namesake. Cheap nasty chicken in congealed gloopy sauce that smelt like farts and nothing like a Thai green curry. Other Chinese food was pretty tasteless. Also no website blurry lo-res photo of menu on Facebook and don't take cash... a running theme in the Forest it seems. Its the 21st century guys... come on!
We have decided that we won’t be ordering anymore. We had stopped using them due to them lying about delivery times, 1hour would turn into 3. Decided tonight that we would try again to see if anything had changed. Ordered at 5:30. Was told 7:30. No food at 7:30. I called them and they said by 8. I said if it’s not by 8 then I would cancel the order. The lady then changed her mind and said it wouldn’t be 8 and would be later. I told them to cancel and will categorically not be using them again. Over 2 and a half hours to deliver food ordered not long after they open, and then lied to until I said I wouldn’t accept the order if it’s past 8 which is the new time she gave me. Shame because they used to be great. But never again.
Great food. But useless for delivery. Never on time. Say an hour delivery and turns up 2-3hrs later
Had ordered our meals for delivery at 6.30, phoned up to see where it had got to at 7, got told it was on its way. Rang again at 7.10 got told it was 2 mi it’s away. Asked what they were prepared to knock off price for meals which took a while to get a answer this awful place took a £1 off! Our meals arrived about 10 minutes after they said was 2 minutes away. Opened the bag and two meals were wrong and one meal not there. I have never known such a unacceptable business and no sorry, or acceptance to what had happened or offering to refund. Again had to ring them and tell them that they had messed up again with our order. They could not wait to get off the phone. Told them I wanted our correct meals that we ordered and a refund. This took a while being on the phone to staff that could not be bothered to accept responsibility to their mistakes. At the end of the night we had what we ordered and a refund of £10, after a lot of arguing over the phone. I advise no one to order food from this place as disgusting on time keeping, correct meals ordered and sorting mistakes out.
Not a great keep to time takeaway at all! If they say an hour it should be an hour not an hour and a half. Even if you collect they can't stick to time either! Bloody hopeless!! If I order a delivery again and it's late then a 25% discount should no will be in order! Problem is the food is good. That's the only thing good I have to say.
Phoned up for a takeaway at 18:15 on 22/01/2022, to be told it will be ready at 19:15. Get there slightly late at approx 19:20 only to still be waiting at 19:50. Simply unacceptable. And this isn't the first instance that this has happened. Nothing wrong with the quality of the food. The service is shocking.
The food from Kunming Chinese takeaway is delicious. Never disappointed and wanting more. The reason there are probably so many complaints about delivery is because the food is so good it is tricky to wait. Very friendly customer service and advise collection - it is worth it!
My favourite Chinese takeaway in Lydney by far! It’s family run I think and the food here is delicious I constantly crave the food from here!
Called for delivery, they asked if I could collect, unfortunately I can't hence asking for delivery, bit of a discussion in the back ground to be told that it won't be delivered until 2230, which I agreed with continued to take my order, then a further heated discussion started off in the back, and I'm now informed that they can't deliver as "to busy". Not happy with the heated discussions, can't comment on the food as we aren't getting any. So now ordering from someone else!
The food here is Excellent, and the make up your order to the way you like, the crispy beef in honey and chilli is wonderful a must try
