This place has a Malaysian touch to it and it was also revealing by the dishes. All the dishes were very differently flavoured but nice and hot. This is the first restaurant I visited in Dublin. We had the Hot and Sour Soup and the Kopitiam Special Platter. Both were really good and filling.
Loved it. If you want real authentic Asian food, this is the place. The staff is extremely nice as well. Ordered: - Roti canai 10/10 - 2 Satay Ayam 6/10 I like it only grilled not half fried half grilled but as I know each Asian country cooks it differently - 2 Vegetable popiah goreng 9/10 too much peas - Preserved pickled vegetables,tofu and fish fillet 10/10 - Home made bean cured with sea food 10/10 - Sweet and sour chicken 9/10 - Stir fried mixed vegetables shouldn’t have ordered it there were enough veggies with the dishes - Nasi telur goreng egg fried rice 10/10 - Thai prawn crackers 10/10 - Kuih dadar 9/10 dessert
I really liked my food! Although did expect more prawns for a prawn dish.. service was great and prices were fair, matching the big portions given!
The food keeps getting better every time we go here. Great atmosphere, top-notch service and diverse menu. The place has character and the décor is true to the cuisine that they serve here. For lunch, we recently got the lamb rendang and squid nasi lemak and we thought that both dishes were extraordinary. In terms of presentation, both dishes were marvellous. The lamb was wonderfully tender and rich in flavours. The squid was super tender and flavourful. The rice was very fragrant too. Really great colours as well. Outstanding and delicious, as always!
Wonderful experience! I had the beef rendang while my friend had the sweet & sour chicken. Both meals were excellent, bursting with flavour & not too spicy! The restaurant itself has a great vibe & the staff are friendly & polite. A great place to try some unique foods you won't find elsewhere, would definitely recommend!
Always fun times in Kopitiam! We booked for about 10 people and the restaurant has been reassuring and accommodating from the beginning. The service was very thoughtful and pleasant. The food itself is one of the the best Malaysian food in town! Rengdeng is very good and the roti canai is a must!
Don't expect to get authentic Malaysian flavour when you go to this restaurant. We ordered Nasi Lemak with Rendang. None on the plates tasted closed to what Nasi Lemak should be. The same thing for The Nasi Campur. The Spinach and Fish Balls Soup we order for starte is however tasted really delicious.
Lovely place to eat. Food is full of flavour and comes in satisfying portions. Favourites on the menu: Satay ayam skewers Nasi Lemak beef/chicken
This is the best Malaysian food I've had outside Malaysia. We had Butter Prawns, Marmite Chicken, Penang Char Kwai Teow and mixed vegetables. Everything was excellent, including the very attentive service. I will definitely be back next time in Dublin.
