A good small town station with plenty of seating and shelter available. There are multiple entrances to this station, perhaps not the best signposted on which exit will take you where though i.e out to which roads etc. Well located for the town.
Sunday 18th September approx 1.30pm. I spoke to a rail staff member at the information desk. The man was a credit to his company, he exhausted all avenues to get me to Manchester airport as I had got on the wrong train. I was very impressed by his understanding and willingness to help. Thank You!!
If you're arriving in Knutsford by train and going on to somewhere, book your taxi in advance. After at least 1 hour and nearly 20 calls to taxi companies, I finally got a taxi.
No overhead LED signs, nor toilets...and the trains are seriously old school. However, there is plenty of parking and it's only a short walk to the quaint high street.
Terrible service at the booking desk. Constantly asked to wait 5 min whilst they changed over shifts, 20 minuets later open the line, then couldn't refund and issue a ticket for a lady.nSo I couldn't buy a ticket before boarding the train, which is frown upon!
