Excelet produce, the beef stotie and chips was excellent. Sausage was very tasty. Got some great produce in the farm shop, plenty of variety on sale. Can't wait to begin tasting everything.
The shop had a wide range of great products and a fantastic butchers, although we came here reading from another review that it was dog friendly but we weren't allowed in the shop which would have been fine but it was abit cold and we had to eat outside. I bought some cheese with nettles in which I've never heard of before and it tasted really nice
Visited here for the first time. Sadly didn’t have time to stay and eat but it looked lovely. Seating area outdoors as well as indoors. Dog friendly. Will definitely be back to have lunch.. We actually went for the farm shop which did not disappoint. Lovely choice of local produce and items from other farms/artisans. The staff looked very proud of their produce and rightly so! Bought some Cumberland sausage made on site and some yummy looking burgers! Will be back for sure. Large car park. Slightly tricky to get to as the lane to the farm is only wide enough for 1 vehicle.
Steak sandwich and ice tea are my favourite! The shop is too expensive, but the quality is high for meats.
Great full breakfast, with their own sausages, bacon, black pudding. Hard to find its equal anywhere. Update. 23 Aug, 2024. When they're starting from such a strong base, it's a pity a few things let them down. This morning, the bacon and black pudding were a bit dry, like they'd been sat on the top for a while. Mushrooms were tasteless - give them some herbs or garlic. And personally, I don't care for hash browns - how about a second egg or sausage? This is not to say the breakfast isn't excellent; just to point out where it could be made better@
Farm shop & Cafe with large carpark. Plenty of parking with inside and outdoor seating. Cafe very busy with half hour wait for table. Farm shop pricey but local fresh quality produce...
Went today & man o man what a fantastic place, . Plenty of parking, but beware to turn left b4 the barns into the carpark. Otherwise, you end up in the farm yard... i didn't take any pictures of the courtyard as ppl were eating & looked like they were eating plates fullof local food..we bought a number of items from the farm shop ourselves..gets a 12/10 from me, definitely worth a visit but would imagine it gets very busy at times..
It’s a joy and pleasure to shop at Knitsley Farm Shop each week. The quality of the fresh meat, pies, sandwiches and cakes etc are second to none. The shop is also well stocked with fresh fruit/veg and other delights. All the staff from the butchery to the deli and checkout are so friendly always making you feel so welcome. We love chatting with the lady on the deli counter. You have brilliant staff and a great business. WELL DONE
Fantastic Farm shop - has to be one of my favourites. Always excellent food at the cafe and shop.
Great place, produce is outstanding. Beautiful setting and well manicured. I recommend the cheese scones and lemon tart highly. Lovely walk and plenty of parking. Only issue is the inside of the shop is not dog friendly.
