Not coping with increased volume of customers due to closure of Boots and Tesco Pharmacy. Normally only one person serving despite queues out of the door. Have had issues on more than half of visits. Phone normally not answered when phoning ahead.
This place has gone downhill since it was taken over. I've had good service there in the past but now I've changed pharmacy. I was left without vital meds and was not contacted as promised. I had to give my name and number for texting purposes THREE times. When you're frantic that you may not get your meds, the last thing you need is finger-wagging from a member of staff who tells you crossly that there's a national shortage. Perhaps so, but if anyone had bothered to contact me, I could have made alternative arrangements days earlier.
Had to take an elderly client here who was sick and needed to speak to the pharmacist about their medication. All because nobody answered the phone! Despite there being at least 8 staff packing things and chatting away merrily about all sorts when we walked in.
Had a problem re tablets, rang and explained staff and manager really rude . The manager said i was shouting and hung up, have moved where im picking up my perceptions from wont ever go there again. 18th jan 24
The pharmacy is working hard to ensure they meet customers requirements following the closure of Tesco Pharmacy and Boots. They have completely changed the layout of the shop, installed a new computer system and have extra staff. I’ve tried driving to Street and Wells to collect medication from other chemists who are also affected by these closures. None of them have made preparations for the change. Knights are by far the most efficient and have dealt with the sudden influx of patients who normally use Boots or Tescos far better than anywhere else. Staff continue to be courteous, efficient and helpful. Something to note is the chemist now stocks very few over the counter items and focuses on dispensing prescriptions. If you need throat lozenges or sticking plaster, go to Morrisons.
Good if you need standard medications and the staff are doing all they can, but if you need specialist or control medication they can't help you
Every single time I go and TRY to collect my medication there is always a problem. Was charged for the wrong prescription and wasn’t refunded even tho it was a mistake on their side. Doctor sent over medication but apparently it wasn’t on the screen so was basically told to go, was nothing they could do. It’s always the same member of staff that’s rude and very disrespectful how she still has her job is beyond me.
Awful pharmacy, terrible customer service, never pick up phone and have failed to deliver prescriptions to my father 4 times in less than a year. Shocking how this place is being run. You should be ashamed. *edit below* Note you've replied to my review within 15 minutes, referring to head office, yet haven't answered a single one of my dozens of calls over the last two weeks. Total joke
I have used their prescription delivery service for many years with no problem so was surprised when my medications failed to arrive. I had ordered them in the same way as always via my doctor’s app 7 days before I was due to run out of my diabetic and blood pressure meds. On phoning I was informed that they now required 7 working days from when the doctor sends the prescription to them. That is far longer than I have ever allowed before. When I explained that I was unaware of this change and would run out of my meds, I was told this was my fault and I should have known they changed their system. I assume he felt I should have guessed! He refused to help, appearing to find it amusing that I would not have any meds! He did suggest that I go into the branch the following day and request a printed copy of my prescription so that I could take it to an alternative pharmacy. However, he then said not to come that day because they were far too busy to deal with me! I have used this pharmacy for over 20 years with no problem, but the apparent lack of interest or care displayed has now caused me to change the arrangements for my prescriptions which now will be sent elsewhere by my doctors.
