This is definitely the best fish and chips for miles around. The owners & staff make your dinning experience first class. You must try the cider and the bread and butter and the fish is to die for. Keep up the great work everyone.

Best fish and chips I’ve tasted in a long time, and especially good mushy peas - someone has put a load of pepper in which makes them extra tasty! All this with good meal deals and a wonderful ambience within a 16th century building... no wonder it’s in the top 20 fish and chip shops nationally!

Popped in this evening and enjoyed the seriously amazing fish, chips and mushy peas. Some of the best I've ever had and I'm not a young man! We dined in the courtyard at the back - very nice. Staff very diligent with social distancing etc which was reassuring, but this not detract from the dining at all. So definite thumbs up!

Thought id give it a try as they boast that they cook fabulous fish and chips! ..... all i can say coming from the North Yorkshire Coast is that they are terrible. Batter was hard and burnt .. fish was under cooked. Chips were ok .. just! Had to give it one star .. but thats being polite.

Yummy chips - so good I ate up all the tiny bits :- Staff really felpful offering gluten free alternatives but their wonderful chips are fried in same oil as battered fish. Social distancing and hand sanitizing all well provided for. Will definitely go there again specially when next in the area...

I'm not an expert on fish and chip restaurants so I will just say that the food was excellent. Definitely recommended.
