"The Rock Rose in Dover offers a warm welcome to the whole family. Our traditional carvery serves a delicious selection of roast meats daily, with a veggie option too, alongside a varied menu of pub classics and modern dishes. Young or old, traditional taste or contemporary, we’ve got plenty for you to choose from. Our bar is stocked with cask ales, ciders, draught beers, wines, and soft drinks, and we serve Nescafé Milano coffees to drink in or to go. Bring everyone along, from the grandparents to the kids, and make sure everyone’s hungry—after the mains have been cleared away, there’s our legendary dessert menu to tackle!"

Since it has changed hands I think this is the best food we have had here. Been here twice now this year and would definitely come back. Food is fantastic and they will help out with any food requirements if you want to change something. Staff are helpful and welcoming.
Nice looking place, 3 stages of kids meals under 5, over 5 and bigger appetite I had the mega mix grill which was good just the chicken was a tad dry but over all experience was good
Friendly service from the moment we arrived and were shown to our table, bar staff were excellent and speedy even though you were extremely busy. Both my 90 year old Mum and myself had a carvery and both thoroughly enjoyed the meal. There was a lovely choice of veg and meat all cooked nicely. Mum was beaten by the main course but I was naughty and chose a rocky road sundae. This desert was huge and hugely enjoyable. Overall we had no complaints, thank you.
My husband and I last visited a few years ago but it was under a different management and the name was different. Our friends booked a table for themselves and us to have Sunday lunch. When we arrived the tables were fuller than I had ever remembered seeing them and the vibe was good. We ordered our meals and drinks from our table using the website on our phones. Using the website was very easy. Our drinks came promptly and we went up to the carvery to choose our meals. The food was good and we had lots of choices. The staff were friendly and overall we enjoyed ourselves. We do intend to return to the Rock Rose soon.
I arrived with my daughter to be met by Kira, a very friendly and professional employee of yours and certainly a credit to your company. We were shown to our table. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. Kira checked on us to make sure we were fine. Overall a fantastic experience. I will be back again. Thank you
It was very busy when we arrived, but we were seated immediately, the service was good. We ordered via the online QR code which was slow but worked fine. Our drinks were served within a few minutes of ordering, but unfortunately the food took the best part of an hour to reach us. We have had very good food from the rock rose, but unfortunately on this occasion my burger was a little bit burnt, we received chips instead of mashed potatoes, and the peas were a little hard. Given how busy it was we didn't make a fuss, and will still return to the rock rose, but probably at less busy periods as the food is better.
Family dinner, was nice clean, barman was chatty. Took a while and a prompt for someone to go find the person for the carvery, we were stood there 10 minutes and staff walking past before I asked for someone to go get the person over. Food however was good, all the dishes that were served were good.
Heard they had a new menu so decided to try it. There were a couple of new things so had one of those dishes. I had some brie bites to start. The new chicken burger with gravy and fries with side of onion rings. Everything was very nice, the foot was hot. The gravy was a bit runny so wasn't really good for dipping your chips in. They did forget my onion rings so I had to ask for those, but they came pretty quickly. Had a gin and Tonic too and the bill came to £27.50. Was too stuffed for a pudding.
Lovely meal and quick service. Our highlight of the visit was the barmaid advising us of a drinks offer. As a result we stayed longer than planned for another drink. Great customer service. Thank you Paul and Staff
Guy at the bar was very friendly. He made us feel welcome as he said hello to us when we entered and bye to us when we left. The food was lovely and portion size was fab. The whole of the Rock rose was lovely and clean. Was a very nice night out.
