For what appears to be a top tier restaurant I was very disappointed with the quality for the food, it hypes to be like Farm House in Coventry but failed so miserably on the quality of the foods specially for the premium price. Between 2 of us we have a small mix platter which consisted of wings, prawns, lamb chops and hullumi however your spell it cheese, and fish pakora, the wings tasted bad and bland like it was grade II chicken used, the chops where thin pieces with little meat but the prawns were nice, my mate opted for the Naga donner meat on naan which had a firey kick to it and I went with the kisaan special curry with chicken, lamb and prawns, it was fresh and felt like the pre made masala had pre cooked meat, chicken and prawns thrown in and heated in a tawa, the naan wasn't big for the price and was a bit bland, fluffy soft but bland, all in all for £65 for 2 people for both of us to be disappointed with the food we won't return again.nnAnd finally so much cream on the milkshake it melted and made a mess on the table.nn4/10 for foodn8/10 for servicen8/10 for decor.nnTo be top end they really must try so much harder with the food.
Kissan offers a delightful dining experience with its warm atmosphere and charming décor. We tried most of the dishes, and each one was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our overall experience. Overall, Kissan is a fantastic choice for a satisfying meal. Highly recommended!
The best restaurant in the west midlands maybe.nnThe food is exquisite.. it’s just next level.nMeat actually melts in your mouth, this is how tender it is. Not only that, but the meat is very rich in flavour. The spices are just right, it tickles your senses and makes them crave for more.nnThe price is cheapish-average.nnThe portion size is average-generous.nnThe atmosphere is very nice. The place looks quite posh.nnThe toilet need some work and isnt the same quality as the rest of the restaurant.nnTo note: There’s a car park very cheap just next to it. There’s also a park for the kids also close by. Good for families.nnRecommended dishes:nLahori Lamb + Kisaan special rice + Garlic NaannSirloin steaknThose were the ones we tried and were very pleased with. Can wait to try more.nnTl:dr: Best meat you can taste for a quite reasonable price.
It was my first time at kissan the atmosphere was very nice nd the deco was nice too we had a few starters nd main i had fish nd chips nd my family had loaded parmesan chicken the food was hot nd very nice i defo would recomnend it nd go again
Went in group 5 upon one of the group requests because of location. As she was heavily pregnant, we just obliged.nnEverything was OK. The restaurant is small, so it seems a little snug at times. The decor was nice, picture worthy for your selfies. Especially for teenagers or young adults!nnThe female waitress, was young and was really sweet. The older man that came with food was a bit grumpy, he asked me to give the plates but I just washed my hands and moisturised. So, I didn't want to do this and he looked shocked like that wasn't his job. Although, we were all very polite.nnThe food came out in good timing, we ordered variety of dishes. The main starter was generous and overall tasty. The mains were quite varied, the curries seem to be small portions compared to other restaurants. The garlic nan, the garlic was burnt but luckily it didn't leave a burnt taste. The lasagne wasn't spicy, although asked for it to be. The special chicken with donner was pleasant.nnOverall, the food was OK. I think it was decent and would eat it again. I just don't think it's anything special, I'm used variety of spices and Asain cuisines especially Bengali, Indian and Pakistani and this was OK. I felt like it's more suitable for families and friends, for your standard gatherings as it's nothing spectacular. The curries could have had grated ginger or coriander or lemon wedges on a side dish with additional chillies. As we did request, but it never turned up. I requested for it to be extra spicy and it wasn't. However, it tasted nice it just felt it could have been elevated. Nothing special about it but I don't think it will really disappoint if it's not a special gathering.nnOh and the mango lassie was very disappointing, wasn't sweet at all and was very bland. Expected so much more. However the others ordered Virgin Pina Colada and they loved it.nnOverall Rating: 6.5/10nAtmosphere: 8/10 for decornFood: 5.5/10nnI would go again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way.
