Story

Owned and managed by the Gammie family with a friendly, helpful staff to welcome you. Famed for the quality and variety of our plants, we also have an outdoor eating area as well as a newly expanded children's play area. We have a fabulous food hall which also includes a great Free-From range, as well as an extensive gifts and clothing area.

The Gammies have farmed at Laurencekirk since the 1920's and the farming ethos of offering value for money remains very important to us.

I visit quite regularly and am always delighted by the choice of soups, cakes and sandwiches on offer. The staff are friendly and the service quick and efficient.
Very good value for money.
The shop is well stocked and always had a variety of quirky foodstuffs, coffees, jams, chutneys,teas,bakes, cheeses,biscuits and ready made Frozen meal ideas. Cards and fashion is also available.

I always find something to take home with me.

Unfortunately on this occasion our visit to the restaurant didn't go as well as usual. Baked potato had to be returned as not hot enough,  veg soup was luke warm and had to ask for additional cutlery twice.  First to eat the lettuce provided with my sandwich and then a knife to spread the butter on the roll my mother was provided with for  her soup.  The service is usually very good, staff pleasant and to be fair they were busy.

It was off season so plants were limited but what they had were in good  condition. The tearoom restaurant is well stocked with good varieties of food and cakes. It will be  well worth a visit in spring  and summer.

As with most garden centers, this is no exception and unashamedly caters for those of a certain demographic. Not a place for young ones with innocent enquiring hands and probably a little too cluttered and and claustrophobic for my taste. The food was average to good and service to match, so my hour in the place did not feel wasted, one visit was enough for me though.

Great place, not massive but has a good stock of really good quality things. We went between Xmas and hogmonnay and they had masses of Xmas things and oddities, plus all the usual garden supplies, also fine foods/wines/whisky/gin/beer etc many from artisan producers and mainly local. Great restaurant, looked a little over-staffed but that might be because we were there at end of the day. Parking was plentiful, staff all helpful, willing and friendly.
