Hey, Yo. So my gal and I jumped off the bus, it was hot and we were thirsty. Beautiful build, so let's try. Interesting interior. The staff was very nice. No nozzles on pumps. This was after one. Lady had to run for lemons at the shop. Most places have this lemon shortage!! Think they scrimping. Contact less was down and had to go to 2 shops, and I ended up with £1.50 charge. Told staff but no compensation. Great seating outside next to awesome church. Finally, I sat down to enjoy my beer...
Went to a birthday party yesterday The two staff never looked at us on entry or when leaving and never a smile throughout. The way they were dressed they could have been anyone One was seen vaping behind the bar. The lass collected empty glasses from The tables never acknowledged people helping her by passing empty glasses nearer to her. Not likely to go back.
Over £13 for 2 pints! Staff were pleasant enough but lacking in basic manners. The manager/staff were completely engrossed with each other, there smart phones and the local clique. The carpet hadn't been hoovered in a day or two as there were crisps etc on the carpet, and the day and time we visited I would have expected the carpet to have been hoovered that day. Staff changing baby nappies at the bar on the stools was not a good advertisement. The beer I had was flat and tasted stale so I left nearly a full pint, no point in complaining as it would have been to no avail I think. My partners lager was also flat, it's not rocket science to keep a decent cellar!
We decided to bob in for some lunch and we wasn't disappointed. The staff are really friendly and it was really busy and a little loud with people watching the football and clearly local residents that play sports in the area but where ate it was in a quiet little library area. The food didn't take to long to come out and the portions were generous and homemade which made all the difference. I ordered the Sunday dinner and a pudding as it was 2 courses for 11.50 and my hubby got a sandwich and mushroom starter. The food was tasty and beautifully cooked and I went for the large size and regretted lol it was a huge portion and I couldn't eat it all and didn't finish all my pudding but the pudding tasted amazing. The drinks weren't too expensive and we had a really good experience overall. Would definitely go back for a meal
We had Sunday dinner, 2 courses for £11.50. We both started with prawn cocktail then roast beef. My husband went large on main course and struggled to eat it all. All food was home made, quantity and quality were fantastic. I think next time we will just have main course as there was so much. Definitely be backService: 5/5
Used the hotel for a wake after a funeral. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Facilities were clean if a little tired. Can't comment on any more as we didn't use anything else.Service: 5/5
We recently attended a wake here and the staff and owners were marvelous in every way. Nothing was too much trouble, they went out of their way on the day and before to make sure everything went smoothly. The quality of the buffet was very high and everyone commented on the sandwiches which were much higher quality than the usual you get on most buffets. Thank you so much.
Great dog friendly pub! We went to the pub for Sunday lunch, the staff were really welcoming and helpful. Our lunches were amazing, really tasty and reasonable prices. Will definitely go back.Service: 5/5
Didn't stay but popped in as we drove past and tried the Sunday lunch and what a beautiful dinner , gravy with meat juices and onions , crunchy veg and yorkshire puddings to be proud of not only in texture but taste too. Would highly recommend and will be back to try your other menus and another Sunday lunchService: 5/5
Went in today for a Sunday lunch as food looked really nice online. Hand on heart the was the worst Sunday lunch I have ever been given. Tables were filthy, whole place looked like it needed a good clean. Went in hungry and decided to leave it all. Staff were pleasant enough. Honestly, if you’re thinking of going for food then choose somewhere else.
